Hayes helped the school become known as a
leading educational institution on the East
Coast. Abbot Giles Hayes played a central role
in the administration of the campus ministry,
which represents a fundamental component of
student life at the Delbarton School.
Perhaps the most important subject area
explored by the Delbarton campus ministry,
prayer helps students develop an attitude of
reverence in the presence of God.

3.  The campus ministry organizes a series of
prayer services and liturgies, which help
students deepen their relationship with God
and develop a sense of community with
fellow worshippers.
In addition to its prayer activities, the
Delbarton School campus ministry draws
upon a peer-to-peer model of student
leadership. All programs at the campus
ministry are led by students, allowing
participants to develop their leadership skills
and ultimately mature as young adults.
