The document discusses what the Bible teaches about marriage. It provides several key points:
1) Marriage is a monogamous, lifelong commitment between one man and one woman established and witnessed by God.
2) The Bible depicts marriage as reflecting the relationship between Christ and the Church, with the husband serving as the loving head of the relationship and the wife willingly submitting to his leadership.
3) Within this relationship of authority and submission, both husband and wife are equal and the husband is called to sacrificially love and cherish his wife as Christ did the Church, without mistreatment. The relationship is intended to be fruitful.
A happy wife makes a happy life.
Marriage is a give and give and give and give, sing it with me, relationship.
A successful, godly marriage is not based upon the issue as long as both shall live but as long as both shall give.
Marriage is empowered by the grace of God and sustained by the love of God.
Marriage is probably one of the greatest opportunities to experience the goodness and grace of God in your own personal life and to experience love for each other.

This is the first of four sessions of our "Being and Making Disciples" workshop held in Sacele, Romania on September 1, 2012. In this session we answer the question "What Does It Means to be a Disciple of Jesus?". English with Romanian translation.
Tithing and offerings are two interesting subjects, which many people have different meanings and applications. While tithing and offering are certainly biblical concepts, some people teaches that tithe is a command and offering is a sacrificial ‘will’ of a Christian; some also teaches that these are not so. What does the Bible teaches regarding tithing and offerings under the New Covenant?
In order to understand how tithing fits (or doesn't fit) into the life of a Christian or a religious person, we must first examine tithing as it was originally commanded, its meaning, and its purpose. Offerings which sometimes interchangeably defined to be tithes; one needs to understand the meaning of sacrifice, free will, giving, and sharing.
This book explains in detail: the doctrines, the command, the culture, the principles, and giving of tithes and offerings. It also outlines the most frequently asked questions on tithing, offerings, and giving.

Our biblical worldview part 6 seth g october 11 2020Pacific Church
What does the bible say about marriage? Up until 15-20 years ago this was not a "controversial" topic. Everyone knew the answer. Our secular culture continues to send its tsunami waves at our Judeo-Christian heritage, causing great confusion. How are we to think about same-sex marriage? What does the bible say? Before we address those questions we will spend time reviewing what makes a marriage a biblical marriage.

Christ Loves His Bride - Ephesians 5:21-33David Turner

His has gone to prepare for the reception of bride and will someday comeback to consummate the marriage. Christ love for his church is the model set more a man's love for his wife. In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

HANUMAN STORIES: TIMELESS TEACHINGS FOR TODAY’S WORLD
The Covenant of Marriage.
1. MATTHEW 19:5-6
(NKJV)
5 and said, ‘For this reason a
man shall leave his father
and mother and be joined
to his wife, and the two
shall become one
flesh’? 6 So then, they are
no longer two but one flesh.
Therefore what God has
joined together, let not man
separate.”
5. • Marriage is not one of many options for establishing a
household,
• It is not sustained only as long as both parties want it.
• Marriage is not a disposable covenant as plastic items are.
• A non-married cohabitation doesn’t replace marriage.
6. • Sexual cohabitation is sin according to Scripture
(Hebrews 13:4)
• Christians cannot consider it as an option for stablishing a
household.
• Understanding the purpose of marriage is needed, so couples
can choose to honor God in their relationship.
7. MARRIAGE IS DESIGNED BY GOD
• Genesis 2:8 New King James Version (NKJV)
• Life in God’s Garden
• 8 The LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there
He put the man whom He had formed.
• God set Adam in a very special place Eden, and provide for him
a suitable companion.
9. MARRIAGE AS GOD DESIGNED IS:
• Genesis 2:18, 22 New King James Version (NKJV)
• 18 And the LORD God said, “It is not good that man should be
alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”
• 22 Then the rib which the LORD God had taken from man
He [a]made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.
• Between one man and one woman, for life.
10. MARRIAGE AS GOD DESIGNED IS:
• Genesis 2:23-24 New King James Version (NKJV)
• 23 And Adam said: “This is now bone of my bones And flesh of
my flesh; She shall be called [a]Woman, Because she was taken
out of [b]Man.” 24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and
mother and be[c] joined to his wife, and they shall become one
flesh.
• The union of a man and a woman, becoming a new entity, a
new family
11. MARRIAGE AS GOD DESIGNED IS:
• Malachi 2:13-14 (NKJV)
• 13 And this is the second thing you do: You cover the altar of
the LORD with tears, With weeping and crying; So He does not
regard the offering anymore, Nor receive it with goodwill from
your hands. 14 Yet you say, “For what reason?” Because
the LORD has been witness Between you and the wife of your
youth, With whom you have dealt treacherously; Yet she is your
companion And your wife by covenant.
• Witnessed by God Himself.
12. MARRIAGE AS GOD DESIGNED IS:
• Malachi 2:15 (NKJV)
• 15 But did He not make them one, Having a remnant of the
Spirit? And why one? He seeks godly offspring.
Therefore take heed to your spirit, And let none deal
treacherously with the wife of his youth.
• Two people, male and female made one by God.
13. MARRIAGE AS GOD DESIGNED IS:
• Matthew 19:7-10 (NKJV)
• 7 They said to Him, “Why then did Moses command to give a
certificate of divorce, and to put her away?” 8 He said to
them, “Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, permitted
you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not
so. 9 And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except
for [a]sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery;
and whoever marries her who is divorced commits adultery.”
10 His disciples said to Him, “If such is the case of the man
with his wife, it is better not to marry.”
• No option of divorce in God’s original design.
14. MARRIAGE AS GOD DESIGNED IS:
• Ephesians 5:31-32 (NKJV)
• 31 “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and
be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” 32 This
is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
• A quick look of Christ’s intimate, loving relationship with His
bride, the church.
16. MATTHEW 19:9 (NKJV)
• 9 And I say to you,
whoever divorces his wife,
except for [a]sexual
immorality, and marries
another, commits adultery;
and whoever marries her
who is divorced commits
adultery.”
• Marriage is an indissoluble
relationship.
• Only in case of sexual
immorality divorce can be
considered.
17. MATTHEW 19:5 (NKJV)
• 5 and said, ‘For this reason
a man shall leave his
father and mother and be
joined to his wife, and the
two shall become one
flesh’?
• Marriage is a
Monogamous relationship
between husband and
wife, as stated in the
original law.
18. 1 CORINTHIANS 6:16 (NKJV)
• 16 Or do you not know that
he who is joined to a
harlot is one body with
her? For “the two,” He
says, “shall become one
flesh.”
• Marriage is a
Monogamous relationship
between husband and
wife, as stated in the
original law
19. EPHESIANS 5:29-31
(NKJV)
• 29 For no one ever hated his
own flesh, but nourishes
and cherishes it, just as the
Lord does the Church.
30 For we are members of
His body, [a]of His flesh and
of His bones. 31 “For this
reason a man shall leave his
father and mother and be
joined to his wife, and
the two shall become one
flesh.”
• Husband and wife
are equal before God.
20. 1 PETER 3:7 (NKJV)
• A Word to Husbands
• 7 Husbands, likewise, dwell
with them with
understanding, giving
honor to the wife, as to
the weaker vessel, and
as being heirs together of
the grace of life, that your
prayers may not be
hindered.
• Husband and wife
are equal before God.
21. GENESIS 1:26-27
(NKJV)
• 26 Then God said, “Let Us
make man in Our image,
according to Our likeness; let
them have dominion over the
fish of the sea, over the birds
of the air, and over the cattle,
over [a]all the earth and over
every creeping thing that
creeps on the earth.” 27 So
God created man in
His own image; in the image
of God He created him; male
and female He created them.
• The couple relationship is
to reflect the image of
God.
22. • 1 Corinthians 11:8-9 (NKJV)
• 8 For man is not from woman,
but woman from man. 9 Nor
was man created for the
woman, but woman for the
man.
• 1 Timothy 2:13 (NKJV)
• 13 For Adam was formed first,
then Eve.
• The Husband is the loving
head of relationship
• The wife is subordinate.
23. • Ephesians 5:21-24 (NKJV)
• 21 submitting to one another in
the fear of [a]God.
• 22 Wives, submit to your own
husbands, as to the
Lord. 23 For the husband is
head of the wife, as also Christ
is head of the church; and He
is the Savior of the body.
24 Therefore, just as the church
is subject to Christ, so let the
wives be to their own
husbands in everything.
• Marriage—Christ and the
Church
• The Husband is the loving
head of this relationship.
• The wife is subordinate.
24. EPHESIANS 5:25-27
(NKJV)
• 25 Husbands, love your wives,
just as Christ also loved the
church and gave Himself for
her, 26 that He might [a]sanctify
and cleanse her with the
washing of water by the
word, 27 that He might present
her to Himself a glorious
church, not having spot or
wrinkle or any such thing, but
that she should be holy and
without blemish.
• Marriage—Christ and the
Church
• The Husband is the loving
head of this relationship.
• The wife is subordinate.
25. • Colossians 3:19 (NKJV)
• 19 Husbands, love your wives
and do not be bitter toward
them.
• In no case a husband should
mistreat his wife in any way.
26. • Genesis 1:28a (NKJV)
• 28 Then God blessed them,
and God said to them, “Be
fruitful and multiply;
• The relationship is fruitful.
