INTRODUCTION
Education is a process of forming and shaping the
human personality
As a process, education is not only take place in
one day.
However, the process of education must take
place in ongoing basis.
DISCUSSION
 The Nature of Lifelong Education
A. The Sense Of Lifelong Education
As for the goal is healing the abated education before
gaining new skills, improving ability,
developing personalities, etc
According to Stephens, the staple of lifelong education is
that each should has the systematic and organized
opportunity in the learning process at every chance he
could get through out his life.
Lifelong education is a fundamental principle that
permeates the whole organisation of the education
system.
B. The concept of Lifelong Education
The concept of lifelong education, in fact, has been
considered by educationalist from age to age.
Islam already knew before hand about the education of a
lifetime than Westerners did
As stated in the Hadith of the Prophet:
َ‫ل‬ِ‫إ‬ ِ‫د‬ْ‫ه‬َ‫م‬‫ال‬ َ‫ن‬ِ‫م‬ َ‫م‬ْ‫ل‬ِ‫ع‬‫ال‬ ِ‫ب‬ُ‫ل‬ْ‫ط‬ُ‫أ‬
ِ‫د‬ْ‫ح‬َّ‫الل‬ ‫ى‬
“Seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave"

lasts for human long life
