Vartana and Citizens Bank of Canada have partnered to launch the Community Banking Initiative. Citizens Bank, a subsidiary of Vancity Savings Credit Union, will provide a full suite of financial products and services tailored to the needs of charitable and not-for-profit organizations. These services include education and outreach to help build capacity through workshops. In January 2009, the initiative will officially launch focused on the greater Toronto area, utilizing a new branch and community business manager. The success in Toronto will determine the expansion of these services across Ontario and the rest of Canada.
