The Coach
• When we talk about general meaning of coach, it
deals with so many things. The dictionary meaning of
coach is –
• A coach is a large comfortable bus that passengers on
long journey.
• A coach is one of the separate sections of a train that
carries passenger’s e.g. that this train consists of 16
coaches.
• A coach is an enclosed vehicle with four wheels,
which is pulled by horses, and in which people used
to travel, these coaches are still used for ceremonial
events in some countries such as Britain.

players in particular sports/game. When someone

An effective coach understands how to
communicate with players in a way that gets
results the goal of coaching in sports or game
is to guide, inspire, empower (to do something,
they have the authority or power to do it) to
empower someone means to give them to
achieve something) the athletes or players to
realize and develop his or her potential.
