The Cathedral of Saint Mary in Girona, Spain has the widest Gothic nave in the world and construction began in the 11th century in the Romanesque style and continued in the Gothic style. The cloister dates back to the 11th century Romanesque period and features columns with carved capitals depicting figures, animals, and plants. The bell tower was started in 1590 and has an octagonal shape and contains seven bells.
