OVERVIEW OF RESULTS OF THE
COLLABORATION
• 180 concepts from the region. Participants
from Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad and
Tobago, Antigua and Barbuda, Haiti,
Suriname, Saint Kitts and Nevis and
Dominica – winners also from Barbados and
Dominica;
• Strong synergy with the OECS – Export
Development Unit;
• CrimeBot and Route876 agreement with
Microsoft to bring their products to market;
• The Banana Bill game app has been
released on Google Play store;
• More than 100 people employed by the 2
main platforms used for online training -
Mobileworks and Crowdflowers;
• Oasis 500 investing in MedRevu and
AgroCentral and investing for Startup
Jamaica;
• First Angel Jamaica launched to invest in
young Caribbean entrepreneurs;
• 20 teams entered the EPIC virtual
incubator established by InfoDev;
• More than 10,000 likes on the Digital Jam
Facebook page.
