Project SpaceLock aims to develop a web-based surveillance system using a webcam. Key issues include: 1. Establishing WiFi communication between the webcam and app server for data acquisition. 2. Deciding between using Matlab or OpenCV for image processing. While OpenCV is more portable, the team has more experience with Matlab. 3. Determining whether to stream video or transmit individual image sequences. Image sequences are lighter weight but streaming allows for video recording. 4.
