be able to watch shows such as The Big Bang Theory, New Girl,
Friends, Two And A Half Men, How I Met Your Mother, and 8 Simple
Rules. Whereas when it gets to 10pm you will be able to watch shows
such as Family Guy, American Dad, South park, and The Inbetweeners.
The target audience is aimed at late teens – early 40s. These products
appeal to the target audience by providing them with the right sense of
   humour and entertainment.
Our company has had success with increasing our viewers and
   advertisements.
PRODUCT PROFILE
2 Products:
Makul – A TV show about the life of an Indian man named Makul. Makul
lives above a local shop in New York, Manhattan where he works and gets
to know his regular customers. This TV show is a comedy and Makul has a
troubled teenage daughter who is very rebellious.
Adverts – We produce adverts that promote our channel as well as the TV
shows.

We would like to create a new product. This new product would be a reality
TV show because we would like to widen our range of audience and find
our way into the reality industry. This is so that we aren‟t just another
„comedy channel‟, we will have something different/original about us.
INDUSTRY RESEARCH
There are a few channels already out there that may be competition for our
channel. For example, Dave is an Independent Conglomerate that could be
competition, as well as Comedy Central which is a Conglomerate.
Dave  Strengths: Independent Conglomerate (doesn‟t have other companies
telling you what to do and you get all the praise as well as the profit)
Weaknesses: Being an Independent Conglomerate means you have to get
yourself known which is a lot harder because you have no support and help
from other big companies. You also have to compete with other
   companies/industries.

Comedy Central  Strengths: Conglomerate (have a lot of TV shows supporting
and helping advertise their products and channel. They also have a higher
income and are a lot more recognizable)
Weaknesses: Being a Conglomerate means they have to share the profit and
   advertise other companies.
COMEDY CENTRAL
“The channel is fast becoming Viacom's third major global network brand
after MTV and Nickelodeon” – „hollywoodreporter.com‟
Comedy Central is a Conglomerate. This makes the channel competition for
our channel because it has a bigger income and is involved in a big
group of advertising. They have support from many other channels
which results in an increasing percentage of viewers and a higher
income. They keep there viewers satisfied by updating their TV shows
every couple of months. Their adverts are also very successful because
  of the humour.
DAVE
Dave is an Independent Conglomerate. This channel is a good example of
what our channel is going to become. Dave has a lot of advertising and
   their own TV shows.

Dave produces stand-up comedy shows rather than sit-coms. This will be
competition to us because of its resemblance.
