http://www.dmac.edu/ | Boca Raton, FL | According to the United States Department of Labor there are approximately 204,850 graphic designers and motion graphic designers across the nation. A good majority of them are earning around 40K per-year. That being said, the competition may be fierce out there. The best and hardest working will always stand out. However, it seems that in order to get hired by a big design firm, ad agency or gaming house, you must have experience. If you’re just completing college, you have probably undergone some type of internship work, that should suffice for most employers. But, if you want to stand out to an employer, be creative, and think outside the school!

This presentation represents the mission and culture of Palo Alto Software. It is who we are and who we aspire to be.
Inspired by the culture decks of Netflix and Hubspot, we created this deck to communicate that as a company, we:
1. Rely on data
2. Solve for the customer
3. Are transparent
4. Give our employees the autonomy to be awesome
5. Are picky about our peers
AES helps you believe in better. This presentation is part manifesto and part employee handbook. It’s about who we are, and what we aspire to become (and we continue to work hard to get there).
Our culture is the summary of who we are at meploy & what we value. It make us understand how we work together & treat each other.
This deck is our second edition and will be revised & updated during 2020.
The case study discusses the potential of drone delivery and the challenges that need to be addressed before it becomes widespread.
Key takeaways:
Drone delivery is in its early stages: Amazon's trial in the UK demonstrates the potential for faster deliveries, but it's still limited by regulations and technology.
Regulations are a major hurdle: Safety concerns around drone collisions with airplanes and people have led to restrictions on flight height and location.
Other challenges exist: Who will use drone delivery the most? Is it cost-effective compared to traditional delivery trucks?
Discussion questions:
Managerial challenges: Integrating drones requires planning for new infrastructure, training staff, and navigating regulations. There are also marketing and recruitment considerations specific to this technology.
External forces vary by country: Regulations, consumer acceptance, and infrastructure all differ between countries.
Demographics matter: Younger generations might be more receptive to drone delivery, while older populations might have concerns.
Stakeholders for Amazon: Customers, regulators, aviation authorities, and competitors are all stakeholders. Regulators likely hold the greatest influence as they determine the feasibility of drone delivery.
Artificial intelligence (AI) offers new opportunities to radically reinvent the way we do business. This study explores how CEOs and top decision makers around the world are responding to the transformative potential of AI.

2. We work hard to hire people that are a right fit for the
company and make sure we are also a right fit for them.
Our culture is who we are, what makes us feel at home at
Admios; it is what gives us the vision of the company we are
working towards becoming. Because of this, our culture is a
huge part of Admios.
6. Prioritize. Our priority always is to solve for the client.
We are a team that delivers and provides results and we take
great pride in that.
7. Protect information when it is not completely yours to share
or when there is a Non-Disclosure agreement.
8. Freedom is earned through responsibility. The more
responsible you are, the more freedom and flexibility you
will have. Have autonomy and ownership for your tasks and
responsibilities.
9. Our policies rely on your good judgement.
Our Working From Home Policy is that you can work remote when
you need to, but we expect you to not abuse this and be in
the office at least 3 times a week.
Our social media policy- use good judgement, if you are
doubting to post something, then you probably should not post
it.
We have no dress code policy but you don't see anyone coming
to work naked.
We have no specific alcohol policy, but you don't see anyone
drunk at the office.
You get it right?
11. Act like a leader both as a developer and around the office.
We work hard to hire leaders, people who encourage others and
respect everyone equally, from the CEO to the man who washes
your car.
12. There are no assigned seats, you can sit wherever and shuffle
where you sit. However, you should leave a workspace clean
and organized for the next person to use it.
13. Treat the office as if it were your own home. You spend most
of your week here and we work hard to make it a comfortable
place for you. Do the same for the rest.
15. Communicate with honesty and candor. Don't be afraid to tell
the client the real story estimation. It is better to be
honest at the beginning than to have to change times later.
16. Build an honest and open relationship with your lead, your
team, your client and the rest of the staff.
17. Mistakes. They can happen and will happen. It is how we
learn. Communicate them and fix them quickly.
18. Communicate with your team, rely on your team. We chose the
best people so that you are able to learn from them and use
them as resources. Likewise, be the person your team can rely
on and learn from.
19. Availability. This is one of our greatest, most important
communication points. Be available, be online, be at reach of
your team and client. If you will be absent communicate it
with your lead, client, team and the operations team.
21. We want our staff to grow and develop both personally and
professionally, which is why we hire curious people with a
constant yearn for learning.
22. Because we foster learning and curiosity, we have many
resources around the office. If you need a book you can ask
the OPS team to get it for the dev account.
We also have toys for you to play with and explore and are
constantly getting more.
Occulus Rift
Google Glass
Kinoma Create
23. Proactivity. We are self-driven and take initiative when it
comes to learning. We like self-motivating people that take
the bull by the horns and look for solutions.
24. Effective people get stuff done, have a sense of ownership,
can be held accountable for their responsibilities and look
for more.
25. Constant challenge is big part of the Admios culture from
development, to operations at the office, and hiring. It is
what makes us grow, both personally and professionally.
Always look for new ways of to challenge yourself, to
improve, to be better and challenge your limits.
27. One of our major sources of pride in our culture is our
selflessness and team collaboration. Be it helping someone on
the technical side, helping someone personally, or
volunteering in community outreach projects.
28. We always help each other out and we know this is essential
to our growth and strength as a team. We firmly believe that
power is gained by sharing knowledge. It is who we are, it is
part of the Admios community identity.
29. We share what we know and motivate constant learning. We work
hard to create knowledge sharing spaces.
ALtalks- These happen once a month during lunch, everyone
is welcome to share something of their interest regarding
technology languages, etc.
Blogposts- Check out Admios'blog at admios.com
Slack channels-We have channel topics sharing books, game
development, electronics, community development, etc.
Challenge Board- Sign up for learning challenges and
certifications!
31. We use many of our resources to find the right developers
that will contribute personally and professionally to our
team.
32. We work hard to find people who work with passion, who love
what they do, and do what they love.
33. We place a huge value on ATTITUDE. Not everything will be
ideal every time, but we have learned that the attitude we
have when taking on anything, makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE.
34. Treat the company as if it were your own (because it is!).
This is also your project. It is your place to prosper and
grow.
36. We are proud to work and be a part of Admios. We strive to
make it a great place to grow your career and learn. We want
you to be able to leave the company being a better
professional then when you came in as well as leave the
company a better place than when you came.
37. We promote a healthy work-life balance. This is why we are
flexible with working from home, vacations, and trying to
accommodate to any situation that may rise.
38. We are aware sitting all day at a desk is not healthy, which
is why we have a standing area, a ping pong table, paid gym
membership, soccer leagues, and are located in a campus that
is perfect for running and outdoor sports.
In addition, we provide private health insurance because we
care about the health and well-being of our staff.
39. Admios is a place to grow, learn, explore and express
yourself. Do you have a hobby? Share it with the team!
Chances are many others are interested and want to join. We
have people on the team who love to cook, build drones,
develop games, travel through Panama and much more.
40. Congratulations!!
Congratulations on making it this far and joining the team.
We are excited to work with you and hope you enjoy working
with us.
