So if you, who are sinful, know how to give your children
good gifts, how much more so does your Father in heaven,
who is perfect, know how to give
great gifts to His children!
(Matthew 7:11 – The Voice)
Every good thing that we possess and every gift
that we have received comes from above,
from the Father of all lights, with whom there is never the
slightest variation or shadow of inconsistency.
By his own wish he made us his own children . . .
(James 1:17 – Phillips Translation)
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything;
tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank him for his
answers. If you do this, you will experience God’s peace,
which is far more wonderful that the human mind can
understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your
hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus.
(Philippians 4:6-7 – The Living Bible)
How can I live a life of gratitude?
I can live a life of gratitude when I remember
that I have a heavenly Father who loves me
and has made me his child.
I can live a life of gratitude when I remember
that every good thing in my life
comes from my heavenly Father.
I can live a life of gratitude when I remember
that I never have to worry about anything
because my heavenly Father
will always take care of me.
I can live a life of gratitude when I remember
that thanksgiving is therapeutic – it replaces
panic with peace and fear with faith.
Let’s Pray
