1) The early church prayed to God by stating who he is, what he has done, and what he has said.
2) They presented their petition, asking God to grant them boldness to speak his word.
3) In response, God shook the place where they were assembled, filled them with the Holy Spirit, and emboldened them to speak God's word.
1) King Nebuchadnezzar sets up a golden statue and demands all his subjects bow down and worship it, threatening death for disobedience.
2) Three Jews, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, refuse to worship the statue, angering the king.
3) The king has them thrown into a fiery furnace as punishment, but they survive unharmed with the king seeing a fourth figure in the furnace with them.
1) Caesar Augustus decreed that everyone had to return to their hometowns to be taxed, so Joseph and Mary traveled from Nazareth to Bethlehem for the census. 2) While in Bethlehem, Mary gave birth to Jesus and placed him in a manger because there was no room for them in the inn. 3) Angels appeared to shepherds in the fields and told them about the birth of the Savior, Jesus Christ.
This document summarizes key aspects of God's greatness and glory as the almighty Creator who measures the oceans and marks off the heavens. It notes God sits enthroned above the earth and his people are like grasshoppers. It also discusses God's wisdom and sovereignty as ruler, seeing nations as worthless dust. The summary then shifts to God's grace and goodness as a comforting shepherd who renews, calling believers to rejoice in his greatness, trust his grace, prepare for him, and he will reveal his glory.
‘Towers’, ‘tragedy’ and even ‘terrorism’ are often words used to describe relationships between different nations and people groups. Is it really possible for diverse people to live together in unity?
The document discusses the topic of gratitude through several biblical passages and examples. It defines gratitude as appreciation and readiness to return kindness. Several Bible verses are presented that discuss asking and receiving from God, Jesus calming a storm, Jesus healing ten men with leprosy where only one returned to give thanks, and a woman's faith healing her. The document then lists some triggers for gratitude like letters, prayer, praise, walks, and collages. It concludes by providing an example of making a list of five things one is currently grateful for.
Jesus criticized religious leaders for only appearing righteous outwardly while hiding inner corruption and lawlessness, like whitewashed tombs that seem beautiful but contain dead bones. Isaiah says sins can become white as snow and wool through reasoning with God. The document discusses how hypocrites know how to look good on the outside but need real inner cleansing rather than superficial fixes like another coat of paint.
A rich man asked Jesus what he must do to inherit eternal life. Jesus told him to sell his possessions and give to the poor, and then follow him. The man went away sad because he had many possessions. Jesus then told his disciples that it is hard for rich people to enter the kingdom of God.

Judah, David, and Nebuchadnezzar were all humiliated for their sins and pride. Judah acknowledged that Tamar was more righteous than him after she tricked him into admitting that a signet ring, cord and staff belonged to him from sleeping with her. David admitted to Nathan that he had sinned in taking another man's wife after having the man killed. Nebuchadnezzar boasted about the greatness of Babylon that he built but was then humiliated and lived like an animal for seven years before acknowledging God.
This document discusses the ministry of one-way missionaries based on passages from Acts and other books of the Bible. It describes how one-way missionaries are ministers and witnesses with a singular message of salvation through Jesus Christ alone. They are compelled to share this message despite attacks or hardships, with compassion, courage and commitment until the end of their lives and ministries.
The document contains four passages from Baha'u'llah and one from 'Abdu'l-Baha discussing various spiritual teachings. Baha'u'llah counsels that people should engage in useful professions to benefit themselves and others, that prophets are sent by God to guide humanity from ignorance to understanding and ensure peace, and that in this day all people must reconcile differences and unite in peace under God's guidance. 'Abdu'l-Baha prays to be devoted only to God's beauty and to serve at God's sacred threshold.
This document contains Bible passages about God's love for humanity and his desire to save the lost. It discusses how Jesus pursued God's mission by showing deep love for God and people, and encouraging others in their faith. The document encourages growing one's own faith, showing love to others, encouraging faithfulness, and participating in outreach ministries in order to fulfill God's mission.
The document is a chapter from the Quran describing God's blessings and favors upon humanity. It lists God's creation of the heavens and earth, with the sun, moon, plants and seas. It mentions God teaching humanity speech and the Quran. It poses rhetorical questions after describing each blessing, asking which favors will be denied. It warns that all earthly things will perish but God's majesty will remain. It describes paradise for the righteous with fruits, springs and comforts, again asking after each which favor will be denied.
The early church prayed to God when facing threats by stating who God is, what God had done, and what God had said. They presented their petition to God, asking for boldness to speak God's word. In response, God shook the place where they were assembled, filled them with the Holy Spirit, and enabled them to speak God's word with boldness.
The document discusses two strong prayers from the Bible and their results. It describes how Peter and John prayed for boldness to speak God's word after being threatened for preaching. Their prayer shook their meeting place and filled them with the Holy Spirit, allowing them to preach boldly. It also discusses how the early believers prayed for signs and wonders through Jesus, which led to unity among the believers and sharing of possessions to help those in need. The document advocates learning from these prayers and their powerful outcomes.

1) Hezekiah desired to revive worship in Judah after his father Ahaz had led the people to worship other gods.
2) Hezekiah made the decision to cleanse and repair the temple. He gathered the priests and Levites to remove rubbish and sanctify the temple.
3) Hezekiah was determined to fully restore proper worship of God, offering sacrifices and leading the people in worship with music and bowing.
The document summarizes passages from Acts 4:23-35 and Joel 2:28-30 about two prayers that were prayed by believers in the early church. The first prayer was for strength and boldness to speak God's word. The second was for miracles to be performed through Jesus' name. After praying, the believers were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke God's word boldly. They shared everything and had no needy persons among them. Strong prayers led to bold results and the apostles continued testifying to Jesus' resurrection with God's power and grace.
UCAIM is United Christians for Arab Israeli Ministries. This PowerPoint was used as part of a sermon at the 2017 UCAIM meeting in Charleston SC, and addresses the unity needed in the Body of Christ to win Arabs and Israelis in the Holy Land.
1) Jesus appeared to his apostles over 40 days after his resurrection and instructed them to remain in Jerusalem until receiving the Holy Spirit.
2) On the day of Pentecost, the apostles were filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, astonishing Jews from various regions who heard their own languages being spoken.
3) Peter addressed the crowd, explaining that the apostles were not drunk but that what was happening was the fulfillment of Joel's prophecy about God pouring out his Spirit. He preached about Jesus and his resurrection. About 3,000 people converted to Christianity that day.
The early church prayed together with one voice after facing persecution for preaching. They asked God for boldness to continue speaking his word despite threats. God answered their prayer by filling them with the Holy Spirit, enabling them to preach the word of God with boldness and shaking the place where they were assembled.
Hebrews 12:18-29 contrasts Mount Sinai, where the Israelites received the old covenant law, with Mount Zion, where Christians receive grace. Believers have come to God's heavenly city and the assembly of the righteous. They are warned not to refuse God who now speaks through his Son.
Daniel 3:16-29 recounts how Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused to worship King Nebuchadnezzar's golden statue and were thrown into a fiery furnace but survived unharmed. The king saw a fourth figure in the fire with them and declared the God who saved them is the only true God.
The disciples gathered together and prayed to God after being threatened by religious leaders for preaching about Jesus. They recalled how kings and rulers had opposed God and his anointed one in the past. Though faced with hostility from both religious and political authorities like Herod and Pilate, the disciples acknowledged that their plans to harm Jesus were already predetermined by God. The disciples boldly asked God to continue empowering them to preach his word and to perform signs and wonders through the name of Jesus. In response, the place they were meeting was shaken and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, enabling them to continue preaching God's word with boldness.
The document summarizes the biblical account of Pentecost in Acts 2. It describes how the Holy Spirit descended on the disciples as tongues of fire, allowing them to speak in other languages. When a crowd gathered confused by this phenomenon, Peter addressed them and preached about Christ, his death and resurrection. He cited scripture and urged the crowd to believe in Jesus as both Lord and Messiah.
The early believers were able to spread Christianity effectively because they followed several principles:
They devoted themselves to prayer, fellowship, teaching, and breaking bread together. They lived communally, sharing their possessions to help those in need. They met daily in the temple and homes, praising God.
When faced with persecution, they continued teaching and proclaiming the gospel boldly. Led by the Holy Spirit, they appointed leaders to continue their work and spread the word to new regions. As more people believed, the disciples were able to establish churches in major cities and equip leaders to further spread the gospel.
Joshua gathered the tribes of Israel and recounted God's mighty acts in bringing them out of Egypt and giving them the promised land in spite of the opposition of many nations. He challenged the people to choose whether they would worship the foreign gods of the lands they had conquered or the Lord who had delivered them. The people unanimously chose to worship only the Lord and committed themselves to obeying Him. Joshua then made a covenant with the people and established it as a lasting memorial with stones as witnesses.
Paul addresses the people of Athens, explaining that God created the world and everything in it. God is not contained in temples or need anything from humans, as he gives life to all. God made all nations from one man and determined their times and places. God did this so people would seek him, as they live and move in God. Therefore, people should not worship idols of gold, silver or stone, as God commands all to repent, and he will judge the world through Jesus, who he raised from the dead.

1. On the day of Pentecost, the disciples gathered and heard a sound like rushing wind filling the house, and tongues of fire rested on each person, filling them with the Holy Spirit.
2. People from many different backgrounds and languages gathered in confusion to hear the disciples speaking in different tongues.
3. Peter addressed the crowd and explained that the events were the fulfillment of the prophet Joel, and that Jesus was Lord. Many were baptized after hearing the message.
1) Joshua gathered all the tribes of Israel and reminded them of how God had brought their ancestors out of Mesopotamia and Egypt, giving them the promised land despite opposition from surrounding nations.
2) Joshua told the people to choose whether they would worship the God that rescued them or the foreign gods of the lands from which they came. He and his family chose to worship only the Lord.
3) The people unanimously agreed to worship only the Lord, who had protected them and given them the land, and to obey Him. Joshua then made a covenant with the people to worship only the Lord.
Ezra was a priest and scribe who lived after the exile during the reign of King Artaxerxes of Persia. The king issued a decree granting Ezra many favors and permissions to lead a group of Jewish exiles back to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple. Ezra prepared himself by studying the Law of Moses and teaching it to the people. He gathered all the silver and gold from the exiles to be delivered to Jerusalem for offerings. Ezra also separated out the articles and weighed them to be protected on the journey. Upon arriving, they offered sacrifices, delivered the king's orders, and supported the people and house of God.
This document discusses the importance of obeying God's commands in order to experience his blessings and presence. It references passages from the Bible explaining how the Israelites were instructed to observe religious festivals three times a year, honor God with offerings, and rest on the Sabbath. By following God's ways exactly as instructed, they would be protected from enemies and have prosperity in their land. The document also describes how Moses' face shone brightly after communing with God on Mount Sinai, illustrating how close intimacy with God can transform a person.
1. Elijah challenges the false prophets of Baal to a contest on Mount Carmel to determine whether Baal or the Lord is the true God. The prophets of Baal call on their god all day but receive no response, while Elijah's simple prayer to God results in fire from heaven consuming his sacrifice.
2. All the people declare that the Lord is God. Elijah has the altar of the Lord repaired, which had fallen into disrepair after false worship. He prays again and fire from God consumes the offering.
3. The people acknowledge the Lord as the one true God. We should let God be God and trust in his power, not relying on human efforts or
Paul defends his preaching of the gospel to King Agrippa. He tells of his obedience to God's calling despite persecution from Jews. Paul states he is proclaiming what the prophets foretold about the suffering and resurrection of Christ. When accused of being out of his mind, Paul insists he is speaking rationally. He invites Agrippa to become a Christian. Biblical stewardship involves obedience, sacrifice and trust in God as exemplified by Paul and his supporters in preaching the gospel.
The document is a passage from Hebrews 10:32-39 from the New Revised Standard Version of the Bible. It encourages believers to have enduring faith like those before them who endured suffering and persecution yet maintained compassion for others. It warns not to lose confidence and faith, as those who endure and do God's will to the end will receive God's promised reward, while those who lose faith or shrink back will be lost.
The psalmist calls on God, the shepherd of Israel, to stir up his might and come to save Israel. He asks God to restore Israel and let his face shine on them so that they may be saved, as God has fed them tears and caused them to be scorned and laughed at by neighbors and enemies. The psalmist pleads for God to restore Israel once more and let his face shine for their salvation.
Jesus compares the people of his generation to children who cannot be pleased, whether John the Baptist came abstaining from food and drink or Jesus came eating and drinking. No matter what John or Jesus did, the people accused them of wrongdoing. Despite this, Jesus says that wisdom will be proven right by those who follow it.
1) God tells Moses and Aaron to separate from the congregation so that he may destroy them for their rebellion led by Korah, Dathan, and Abiram.
2) Moses warns the congregation to separate from the tents of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram or else they will be destroyed for their sins.
3) The ground opens up and swallows Korah, Dathan, Abiram and their families, demonstrating that God sent Moses and showing that they had defied God.
John the Baptist preaches to crowds coming for baptism, telling them to bear fruits worthy of repentance and share food and clothing with those in need. When asked what they should do, John tells tax collectors to collect only what is required and soldiers not to extort money through threats. John explains that while he baptizes with water, a more powerful figure is coming who will baptize with the Holy Spirit and fire, gathering the wheat into the granary but burning the chaff with unquenchable fire.
God warns that those who oppress the poor will be punished. The passage describes merchants exploiting the poor by manipulating weights and measures to overcharge for goods. God swears he will never forget the deeds of those who mistreat the vulnerable. On the day of reckoning, God will cause darkness at noon and turn celebrations to mourning for the mistreatment of the poor. A famine is coming not of bread or water but of hearing the word of God, as people wander seeking it but find nothing.
The document references Isaiah 35:3-7 and encourages those who are weak or fearful not to fear, as God will come to save them with vengeance against their enemies. It describes how God will open the eyes of the blind, unstop the ears of the deaf, allow the lame to leap like deer and the speechless to sing for joy. When God comes, the wilderness will have waters break forth and streams in the desert, with the burning sand becoming pools and thirsty ground becoming springs of water.
Five cities in Egypt will speak the language of Canaan and pledge allegiance to the Lord of hosts, including one called the City of the Sun. On that day, an altar to the Lord will be in the center of Egypt and a pillar to the Lord at its border, as a sign and witness to the Lord in Egypt. When Egypt cries out due to oppressors, the Lord will send a savior to defend and deliver them, and the Egyptians will know the Lord and worship him with sacrifice.
This document contains passages from the book of Malachi in the Old Testament. It discusses how God will purify the descendants of Levi like gold and silver. It warns against robbing God by not paying full tithes and offerings. It promises blessings of abundant harvests for those who faithfully give their tithes. For the faithful who revere God, it says God will listen to them and write their names in a book of remembrance, treating them as a special possession.
The psalmist cries out to God in a time of trouble, remembering God's past deeds and wonders. However, the psalmist questions whether God's favor and compassion have ceased. The psalmist meditates on God's holy way and mighty works, including parting the Red Sea, and declares that no god is as great as their God.
Jesus tells the crowds that no sign will be given to them except the sign of Jonah, referring to his death and resurrection. He says that just as Jonah was a sign to Nineveh, so too the Son of Man will be a sign to this generation. Jesus also says that both the queen of the South and the people of Nineveh will condemn this generation on judgment day for not believing in him, even though their wisdom and repentance came from lesser prophets than himself.
The passage is from Revelation 22:12-16 and discusses Jesus's imminent return. It states that Jesus will repay all according to their works and identifies himself as the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. It describes those who wash their robes as blessed and having access to the tree of life and city, while those outside are evildoers like sorcerers, fornicators, and idolaters. The passage closes with Jesus identifying himself as having sent the angel to deliver the testimony to the churches, and as the root and descendant of David and the bright morning star.
The passage describes signs that will precede the return of the Son of Man, including disturbances in nature and widespread fear. It tells people not to be weighed down by worries but to watch for these signs and have faith, as redemption is near. When the signs occur, the kingdom of God will be at hand, and this generation will witness all prophecies fulfilled before passing away.
The psalmist describes how the heavens declare the glory of God and spread knowledge throughout the earth without words. They have set the sun in the sky like a bridegroom, and its heat reaches everywhere. The laws and commands of God are perfect, sure, right, clear, pure, true, and more desirable than gold. By keeping God's commands, one finds great reward and protection from insolence.
God tells Ezekiel that he has broken Pharaoh's arm and will not allow it to heal, and that he will break both of Pharaoh's arms so that the sword will fall from his hand. God will scatter the Egyptians among the nations and strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, putting his sword in the king of Babylon's hand to use against Egypt so that Pharaoh and Egypt will know that God is Lord.

Is Agile dead? It depends on what you mean by 'Agile'. If you mean that the organizations are not getting the promised benefits because they were focusing too much on the team-level agile "ways of working" instead of systemic global improvements -- then we are in agreement. It is a misunderstanding of Agility that led us down a dead-end. At Org Topologies, we see bright sparks -- the signs of the 'second wave of Agile' as we call it. The emphasis is shifting towards both in-team and inter-team collaboration. Away from false dichotomies. Both: team autonomy and shared broad product ownership are required to sustain true result-oriented organizational agility. Org Topologies is a package offering a visual language plus thinking tools required to communicate org development direction and can be used to help design and then sustain org change aiming at higher organizational archetypes.

solutions that help the organization achieve sustainable growth. Therefore, the purpose of this
research is to determine the effect of performance appraisal on employee motivation and retention.

Acts 4:23-31
The Believers Pray for Boldness
23 After they were released, they went to their friends[a] and
reported what the chief priests and the elders had said to
them. 24 When they heard it, they raised their voices together
to God and said, “Sovereign Lord, who made the heaven and
the earth, the sea, and everything in them, 25 it is you who
said by the Holy Spirit through our ancestor David, your
servant:[b]
‘Why did the Gentiles rage,
and the peoples imagine vain things?
26 The kings of the earth took their stand,
and the rulers have gathered together

Alleluia27 For in this city, in fact, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with
the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, gathered together
against your holy servant[d] Jesus, whom you anointed, 28 to
do whatever your hand and your plan had predestined to take
place. 29 And now, Lord, look at their threats, and grant to
your servants[e] to speak your word with all boldness, 30
while you stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and
wonders are performed through the name of your holy
servant[f] Jesus.” 31 When they had prayed, the place in which
they were gathered together was shaken; and they were all
filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God with
boldness.
