This document provides an overview of security training for human resource staff. It defines security as protecting people, material/installations, and information from harm or risks. The 3 Ps of security are outlined as protection of people, material/installations, and information. Qualities of an effective security guard are discussed such as preparedness, honesty, quick reflexes, rationality, communication skills, strength/fitness, respect for life, and education/training. Basic security responsibilities, post orders, and how to handle and document trespassing incidents are also summarized.
