BACKGROUND
Many people are killed as a result of being in the
line of fire during construction work in the
world.
Recent Accidents show that everybody needs to
pay more attention to this.
We want everybody on site to be more aware
about the risks of being in the line of fire.
Do you know that all injures associated with line
of fire could be avoided by simple precautions ?

Ask yourself:
Who is responsible for looking after hazards?
Each workplace contains its own hazards, with
may seriously injure your self and colleagues
Before commencing the work ask your self…..?
• What can go wrong?
• What are the consequences?
• How can I prevent it from happening?
Stop the job if you feel it is unsafe and report to
your supervisor assistance!
HOW TO PREVENT LINE OF FIRE
• What can workers do to keep themselves and
coworkers out of the Line of Fire ?
• Be alert and learn to recognize Line of Fire
hazards at work;
• Use JSA to discover possible hazards in the
task and then take measures to prevent injuries
from happening;
• Follow the rules and use safe work practices;
• Use proper personal protective equipment;
• Don’t be afraid to ask questions about anything
you do not understand.
HOW TO PREVENT LINE OF FIRE
AT HOME
Please be aware of Line of Fire hazards not only
on the job but also when off duty.
• Identify risks and hazards before commencing
any job;
• Use PPE supplied in your Home HSE Bag;
• Use proper tools and equipment and make sure
they are properly maintained;
• Ensure nobody, especially children are in the
Line of Fire
