Tennis is an Olympic sport and it is played in all levels of society and at all ages. Tennis is a sport you can play in single or double type.Tennis is played in a tennis court where there is a net and the goal is to earn points. The sport can be played by anyone who can hold a racket, including people in wheelchairs.
The history of tennis   The first references to tennis take place in France. It was called "Jeu de Paume" because at first, the ball was hit with the hand. Later people began to use gloves. It originated in Europe in the late eighteenth century and expanded at first in the Anglophone countries, specially among the upper classes. Today's tennis has become universal, and is played in almost every country in the world. Since 1926, with the creation of the first tournament, it is a professional sport. It is also an Olympic sport since the Seoul Games in 1988, after having lost that category in the Paris Games in 1924.
