Thank God, all praise to Allaah Swt. Who has given us so much of His grace and guidance, that we
may gather in this place where Allaah is blessed by Allaah.
Sholawat and greetings do not forget to say to our lord, our role model, the Prophet Muhammad.
That has guided mankind from the dark ages to the bright age full of the light of faith.
On this occasion, in shaa Allah I will deliver a speech entitled "To Achieve The Youth Whose
Intelligent, Healthy and Noble Character”
Ladies and gentlemen, blessed by Allaah ...
As we know, that in this day and age Western culture has entered many even influences our lives,
whether through television, internet, fashion style, etc. If the influence is positive, then it will be
very good. But what if the influence is actually negative? Of course it has the potential to damage
the personality of Muslims, especially us as a young generation.
The younger generation has now fallen into a lot of promiscuity that not only damages itself, but
alsodestroys others. Let'ssee... there are many youngpeople outthere whoare negatively affected
by Westernculture. Some of themare in tight clothes, fighting, even adultery. Na'uudzubillaah.. In
fact, Allaah Swt. has been said in Surat Al-Baqoroh verse 195,
َ‫ل‬َ‫و‬‫ح‬‫ا‬‫و‬‫ق‬‫ح‬‫ل‬‫ت‬‫ح‬‫م‬‫يك‬‫ه‬‫د‬‫ح‬‫َي‬‫ه‬‫ِب‬َ‫ل‬‫ه‬‫إ‬‫ه‬‫ة‬َ‫ك‬‫ل‬‫ح‬‫َّه‬‫الت‬‫ح‬‫ا‬َ‫و‬‫ن‬‫ه‬‫س‬‫ح‬‫ح‬َ‫أ‬َ‫و‬َّ‫ن‬‫ه‬‫إ‬َ‫الل‬‫ب‬‫ه‬‫ُي‬َ‫ي‬‫ه‬‫ن‬‫ه‬‫س‬‫ح‬‫ح‬‫حم‬‫ل‬‫ا‬
That means:
"And do not fall yourself into destruction, and do good, for surely Allah loves those who do good".
Such conditions occur because many young people today are no longer guided by religion. Maybe
even very little understanding of the science of religion. Most of them do something just because

2. they just joined in. Whereas religion is a way of life in life. Therefore friends, this is where it is
importantforus to be an intelligent young generation. So what is the intelligent young generation
like? Anyone knows? The intelligent young generation is able to distinguish the good and the bad
things. Which is not just smart, but also wise in applying their knowledge appropriately.
If we look at the other side of the influence of western culture, then our hearts will be even more
sad to see it. Why? Because not a few young people today who get drunk, use drugs such as
cannabis, methamphetamine, etc. Eventhoughthe prohibition of Allaah to get drunk and consume
alcohol is very clear in the Qur'an. Really, there is no goodness from the act, there is only self-
damage especially their health. How do we want to lead the Ummah if we are sick? Moreover said
Rasulullaah, health is one of the important favors. Rasulullaah Saw. said,
‫ه‬‫ان‬َ‫ت‬َ‫م‬‫ح‬‫ع‬‫ه‬‫ن‬‫ن‬‫ح‬‫و‬‫ب‬‫ح‬‫غ‬َ‫م‬‫ا‬َ‫م‬‫ه‬‫ه‬‫ح‬‫ي‬‫ه‬‫ف‬‫ر‬‫ح‬‫ي‬‫ه‬‫ث‬َ‫ك‬َ‫ن‬‫ه‬‫م‬‫ه‬‫َّاس‬‫الن‬َّ‫ح‬‫ه‬‫الص‬‫ة‬.‫اغ‬َ‫ر‬َ‫ف‬‫ح‬‫ل‬‫ا‬َ‫و‬‫(رواه‬)‫البخاري‬
"Two pleasures thatmany peoplebecomedisadvantaged (becausethey are not considered), namely
health and free time". (Hadith Al-Bukhari).
In addition, as the younger generation is the reluctant relay of the future, we should behave in
accordance with religious guidance. Rasulullaah Saw. Say,
‫ا‬‫ا‬‫ق‬‫ل‬‫خ‬ ‫ح‬‫م‬‫ه‬‫ن‬َ‫س‬‫ح‬‫َح‬‫أ‬ ‫ا‬‫ان‬َ‫ح‬‫ْي‬‫ه‬‫إ‬ َ‫ح‬‫ي‬‫ه‬‫ن‬‫ه‬‫م‬‫ح‬‫ؤ‬‫حم‬‫ل‬‫ا‬ ‫ل‬َ‫م‬‫ح‬‫ك‬َ‫أ‬
"The perfect believer of his faith is the best of his character" (Hadith At-Tirmidzi)
That is, bad character in a person shows that he is getting away from religion. At present there are
many young people whose morals are not good. If called parents do not immediately answer, but
only busywiththe gadget. Advised abitbythe teacher,immediately pouted. Again taking the train,
for example, youcansit,while anoldermotherarrivesnot getting a seat. You immediately pretend
to be sleeping so you are not told to stand up. So... has anyone ever been like that?
Ladies and gentlemen, blessed by Allaah ...
The portrait of variousyoungpeople whohadbeendescribed was certainly not what was expected
by the Indonesian people. Then what kind of young generation is expected? It is a generation of
youngpeople whoare intelligent,healthy and have good character. So to realize this generation of
diamonds, there are a number of things we can work on.
• The firstisto studyand practice it. To be intelligent, of course we must have the knowledge first,
especially the most important is the science of religion. We must come back to Islam. Re-making
Islam as a guideline for our lives.
• The second is maintaining health. Eat and drink anything that is good and halal for us and don't
overdo it. How can we be a beneficial young generation if we are often sick and not taking care of
our health?

3. • Third,multiplygatherwithpiouspeople.Becauseseeinghisface will remind us of Allah. With the
softness of his heart will also soften our hearts. With good morality will also be transmitted to us,
insha Allaah ..
• Fourth,increase positive activities.Instead of spending a lot of time in front of gadgets, watching
Instagram, Facebook, or playing games for hours ... we better get busy with useful activities. Like
taking part in studies, teaching the Qur'an, being active in social activities, etc.
• And finally, of course we always keep our hearts connected to Allaah Swt. So that we can be
facilitated and able to be atiqomah to become a intelligent, healthy and moral young generation.

Hopefullyall of uswill be chosenbyAllaahtobe the younggenerationwhohopesforanationthat is
intelligent, healthy and has a good character. Because we are the decisive fate of the nation in the
future. As the wisdom expert describes in his poetry:

Meaning:
"O youths, surely the people are at your fingertips and at every step of their lives".
Thus the speech that I can deliver, apologize for any shortcomings. The truth is of course coming
