2. Matt Mills is a Technologist who comes from Aurasma. It is a company that makes
augmented reality software for mobile phones. The software basically places 3d
animations into the real world via a smart phone. The thesis of the speech is
largely based on the software itself and the different ways it can be used.
3. The thesis of the speech is largely based on the software itself and the
different ways it can be used.
4. In this photo he is using his software to look at the newspaper and make
The images come alive which I think is amazing.
5. Matt Mills used one of Garr Reynolds tips. He kept it simple. He was precise in what he
Wanted to say and kept the audience with him the entire time.
6. The presenters (Matt Mills) introduction pulled the audience in immediately because he made a
reference to something we all have, cellphones. He opened by allowing us to imagine a smart phone
That can interact with its environment, which to modern society seems like a pretty cool idea.
7. Matt maintained the engagement of the audience by showing them visually what his software was
Capable of. In my opinion the demonstrations did not disappoint, as the images above show.
8. The speaker followed the 2nd Ted commandment by taking an item we all use daily and
added something extraordinary to it. He showed forth a wondrous new thing, something we
We haven’t seen before and made it accessible to the average person.
9. In terms of dynamism I rate the speaker a 5 out of 5.The speaker captured
and held my attention during the entire presentation. Plus, It’s an innovative idea
that has the ability to continuously grow into something more technologically advanced.
10. What I learned about delivery based on watching this presentation
is to keep the audience focused by keeping them entertained.
By visually capturing their attention and make reference to something that
Is common to them like a phone.
11. Ken Robinsons presentations were about issues that society face today.
at times he was humorous but the content of the presentations touched
on serious matters.
12. Matt Mills on the other hand had a presentation that didn’t demand change
or a different approach towards serious social matters like education but rather
how to make your smart phone cooler than it already is.
13. The two presenters were on two different ends of the spectrum. They both
had the ability to capture and keep your attention. Either by making you laugh or entertaining
your imagination. Both were exceptionally well in my opinion.
14. The only advice I can give my fellow classmates on giving presentations is to keep the audience involved.
In conclusion, I found the presentation Matt Mills gave, both exciting and inspiring.
I hope to be as innovative as he is one day.
