3. Forming (Stage 0-3)
• This is when a number of individuals
come together.
• People are usually apprehensive at this
stage with uncertainty.
• There would be little listening, sharing
of knowledge and lack of direction.

4. Storming (Stage 3 -6)
• The group begins to exchange ideas,
but there is as yet little structure to the
group.
• People do begin to open up and listen
to other views with willingness to
contribute.
• Feelings are expressed with conflict/
agreement and people become more
outspoken.

5. Norming ( Stage 6-9)
• The group begins to share ideas- a
team begins to form.
• A leadership pattern begins to
emerge, and the group starts to
conform to a given set of ideas.
• There is a clearer understanding of the
function of the team.
• Roles are established with systematic
working methods.

6. Performing (Stage 9-12)
• The group transforms into a high-
performance team with a clear
organisation pattern formed.
• Friendships are developing and
maturing with a challenging and
enjoyable ambience.
• High level of energy.
• Everyone is contributing with a clear
direction.

Editor's Notes
In my next slides I will explain these stages in detail…..
This is when a number of individuals come together - They are a loose collection with no clear sense of purpose.
