To check if a student has completed TEACH Grant exit counseling, login to the NSLDS website using the student's SSN, date of birth, and first name. Review the student's exit counseling history and TEACH Grant exit counseling completion date. If counseling is complete for the required year, update the FTGEC checklist item on the student's financial aid status page to completed and post a comment noting the counseling completion date from NSLDS.
