The document discusses active and passive voice in sentences. It defines active voice as when the subject performs the action of the verb, and passive voice as when the subject receives the action of the verb. It provides examples of converting between active and passive voice, noting that the object of the active sentence becomes the subject of the passive sentence. It also outlines rules for using "by" and "been" in passive voice constructions and exceptions when the object is a profession or indefinite.
The document discusses various types of fractures and their characteristics including displacement, angulation, treatment methods using devices like lag screws, goals of fracture treatment, indicators for different procedures, complications, and factors in healing. It asks a series of questions about definitions, concerns, diagnoses, treatments and healing aspects related to fractures in various bones and parts of the body.
This document summarizes key aspects of climate and weather patterns around the world. It discusses how wind is caused by convection and the Coriolis effect, how ocean currents regulate temperatures and precipitation, different climate zones defined by latitude, how elevation affects temperature, and phenomena like El Niño and La Niña that impact weather. It also provides a brief overview of the greenhouse effect and global warming debate.
This document provides a partial lecture summary on the psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan and his concept of the "mirror stage." The summary discusses:
1) How psychoanalysis is taught in humanities fields but not psychology, with over 86% of courses on Freud outside of psychology.
2) An overview of Lacan's concept of the "mirror stage" - how infants see their reflection in the mirror and this leads to a reconfiguration of their unconscious drives and sense of self.
3) Key concepts in Lacan's "Mirror Stage" essay are discussed, like his use of the term "imago" and how the mirror stage transforms the infant from a collection of limbs into a unified sense of self

Machu Picchu is an Inca citadel set high in the Andes Mountains in Peru. It is located above the Urubamba Valley, approximately 50 miles northwest of Cusco. The complex was built in the 15th century, at the height of the Inca Empire, and was abandoned just over 100 years later at the time of the Spanish conquest of the Inca Empire.
Westinghouse Electric Company is committed to providing nuclear energy solutions for the Czech Republic. It has over 5,000 employees in the EU and has supplied 25 nuclear units. The AP1000 reactor design features passive safety systems, modular construction, and a smaller safety footprint. The first AP1000 units are under construction in China and the US, showing progress towards delivering the reactor globally. Westinghouse supports developing the local Czech supply chain to enable nuclear new build.

Web 1.0 focused on commerce while Web 2.0 emphasizes user participation and contribution. The concept of Web 2.0 emerged from a 2004 brainstorming session between O'Reilly and MediaLive International. Key principles of Web 2.0 include customization for individual users, harnessing collective intelligence by allowing users to add value through tagging, reviewing and editing, and specialized databases to store user-generated content and power applications. Web 2.0 applications are also characterized by perpetual beta releases and an emphasis on services over single-use software.
Grasslands are influenced by human activity such as farming and livestock grazing. Approximately 1 million acres in California are used for livestock grazing, which can trample bird nests and eggs. Farming in grasslands introduces legumes and cultivated grasses but hurts the bird population. Many people also breed grassland birds, especially in Western America. Insects eat the grass while bees and birds live in the grasslands. Grasslands are often surrounded by woodlands and in some areas adjoin oceans.

This document discusses Trainingportal's role as the sole provider of e-learning courses for Teekay Petrojarl since 2014. It provides an overview of the types of courses used in Norway, UK, Brazil and on projects, which include HSE, permit to work, task risk assessment, and blended learning courses. It also describes the process for ordering and completing e-learning courses through the integrated OCS system, and how course completions are automatically updated in OCS. Safety critical task training involves both an e-learning and practical assessment.
This document discusses opportunities for oil and gas companies to reduce training costs through various initiatives. It provides examples of how Mintra has helped clients reduce costs by migrating classroom courses to e-learning and blended formats, negotiating discounted rates with preferred providers, and restructuring course delivery. One case study details how Mintra redesigned an authorized gas testing course from two days to one day through blended learning, allowing the client to save on employee pay and accommodations while paying a higher fee to Mintra. Mintra has also helped companies standardize training programs and processes across their operations to generate an estimated $50-100 million in annual savings.
The document discusses competency management in the UKCS. It outlines the regulatory requirements for competency assurance systems and safety management systems. It describes the key elements of a competency management system, including identifying safety critical roles and tasks, developing competence profiles, assessing candidates, and maintaining robust assessment processes. The roles of assessors and internal verifiers in implementing and quality assuring the competency management system are also discussed.
4. Sånn er det i dag
• Kjøpere av kurs opplever ulik kvalitet.
• Hvor omfattende bør/skal kurs være?
• Lett å velge vekk kurs med lengre
varighet
• Forvirring rundt krav
• Forvirring rundt hvem som stiller krav
• Hvilken dokumentasjon er god nok?
• Varierende innhold i brukerveiledninger
med tanke på opplæring
• Verdien av god opplæring virker
undervurdert
• Sannsynlighet x konsekvens = ?

www.ecra.biz
Mange aktører som vil påvirke…
• Norsk Olje og Gass har sine
anbefalte retningslinjer
• Samarbeid for Sikkerhet har
utarbeidet anbefalt fagplan for
fallsikring og redning
• NS 9600 Arbeid i Tau har krav
om 7,5 timers opplæring i
fallsikring for tilkomstteknikkere
• Interne bransjekrav og
prosedyrer
• Myndigheter
• Produsenter av PVU
9. www.ttsoft.no
www.ecra.biz
• Ulik tolkning rundt krav (begrepsforvirring)
• Nasjonale retningslinjer uklare (arbeidsgiver skal sørge for osv…)
• Forvirrende for kunder (kjøpere av kurs)
• Selekurs…
Oppsummert:

medlemsbedriftene i SOFT.
Forhåpentlig første høring i mai 2014
Organisering av arbeidet
13. Mange problemstillinger…
• Sertifisering eller dokumentert opplæring (personell)?
• Hvem skal kunne drive opplæring?
• Opplæringsmiljø/fasiliteter
• Redningsøving eller demonstrasjon?
• Det finnes mange fallsikringsløsninger – skal alle omfattes?
• Hvordan inkludere landindustrien? Vil de akseptere den?
• Aldersgrense?
• Ambisjonsnivå… hva er godt nok?
• Eksaminering/slutt test?
• Oppfriskning?
• Mange fagdisipliner berørt.
• Mange meninger gir mange utfordringer!
