How TwinBear became an organization
of true fan engagement.
TwinBear founder and CEO Tony Caporale began his journey
in the music industry in 1983. While serving as a sound
engineer, production manager, tour manager and especially
as an artist manager, Tony realized one simple truth — if
you engage your true fans, success follows. He learned
that growing a fan base requires making true connections
with real people and nurturing authentic relationships that
last a lifetime.
In 2004, MySpace was ground zero of the social media
explosion. During this time, Tony was the online “voice” for
multi-platinum recording artist Collective Soul. He personally
engaged with more than 200K of Collective Soul’s MySpace
friends. His fan engagement philosophy, along with his
passion for social media supported positive record sales
for the band’s first independent release and won the attention
of their growing audience online.
TwinBear’s social media division was first developed in 2009
when Tony invited Emily Kate Boyd to join the TwinBear team.
Fresh from participating in Seth Godin’s Alternative MBA
program (SAMBA), Boyd integrated many of Godin’s beliefs
regarding permission marketing and authentic engagement
into TwinBear’s core philosophies.
