Film industry The film industry is for are entertainment which is very easy to watch because there are different ways to watch it such as watching it in the cinema, on T.V, DVD ( Blu ray ), 2D, 3D, 4D and also online so it is convince for people to watch. • If they have a governing body (eg Ofcom) and what they do for the sector The governing body of the film industry BBFC which stands for The British Board of Film Classification which was set up in the year 1912 and this industry made sure that the age rating was good for the film. Key products or people within the sector (eg print = Rupert Murdoch)] The main people that are associated with film business are: • James Cameron • Quentin Taranitino • Stephen steelburg • Paul Greengrass These are the main people in the film industry because they there famous of there film they made The products that the film industry have are the actual film and the DVD and Blu-ray that they sell to the puplic. • What jobs you could get within this industry if you were to work in it The jobs you can get in the film industry are: • Camera man • Film editor • Sound man • Producer • Actor ect… There is a whole arrange of job in this industry that you could be.
- 3. Print Industry This sector consists of news papers ,magazines and billboards The print industry consist of the newspaper, magazine and billboard which all help to make there product stand out. The governing body is the BPIF( British print industry federation) The BPIF is the basic business in the UK print, printed packaging and graphic communication industry and is one of the country's leading trade associations. Rupert Murdoch is the main player in this sector of business because he owns most newspaper including the Sun •Some of its products (e.g Radio 1 for the Radio sector) o the sun o The daily mail o The guardian o The daily mirror o local newspapers ect…… •What jobs you could get within this industry if you were to work in it The main jobs you can get in the print industry is a journalist, and print production and a photographer. There are lots of other little jobs however they are the main three in the print industry
- 4. Advertising industry The advertising industry is used to boost the company name into the world and make it more well know to the people that are watching the advert. You can see advert on the television, magazines, newspaper and on billboards. The governing body for the advertising industry is the ASA(Advertising Standards Authority) and there job is to make sure that there are no harmful or offensive advert in the industry. The main people in the advertising industry are: • Bill Bernbach • Neil French • Rupert Murdoch • Social networking site eg Facebook The product that the advertising industry sell are the actual product that they are selling and also the newspaper that they are selling to the public. Photography Industry • The photography industry is where they produce stunning and amazing photos of the world and the people around us some of the photographic types are digital, Daguerreotype, Polaroid. • Aerial- standing tall above the subject, or shooting from a tall building, plane, etc... • Architecture- shots of buildings (no people) • Artistic- any shot of a subject where creativity is the number 1 goal. • Black and White - aka... B&W, working with no colour. • Camera Phone- low quality, anytime, anywhere photography. • Event- Concerts, large parties, gatherings. • Macro- photographing very small, or very up close images. Very detailed. • BIPP (the British Institute of Professional Photography)BIPP is an official qualifying body for professional photographers in the UK. We advise, train, qualify, and support professional photographers.
