Out of the 28 people we 
asked to complete our 
questionnaire, 75% of them 
were between the age 17- 
19, 7% were between 20-25, 
7% were also between 26-30 
and 11% were 30 plus. This 
results in aiming our

television at night time. This 
shows that we would be 
best having our 
documentary shown at night

popular, this means that we 
will use pop and indie music 
throughout the 
documentary to fit the 
audiences preference.

on handball this gives us a 
positive input to our 
documentary that people 
would watch it.

watch at a family time.

watching a documentary?

People who watch documentaries watch it because 
it interests them. 12 people said that they watch 
documentaries for the entertainment, this informs 
us that we need to put something that will entertain 
the audience otherwise they might turn the 
documentary off. Every documentary needs to have 
information in it otherwise it is pointless. 9 people 
said that they watch a documentary for information, 
this leads to the fact that the documentary will need 
to be informative as well as entertaining. As only 7 
people said they watch a documentary for humour, 
we can now incorporate an aspect of humour in the 
documentary.

evolution of technology which allows 
people to watch more or less what 
they want when they want on 
numerous electrical devices, this 
chart shows that 64% of people asked 
watched documentaries on catch up 
rather than when they are scheduled 
to play on TV, this could be due to 
young people prioritising other 
programs or other responsibilities at 
the time.

could be because they don't watch it,

‘teamwork’ is the main benefit, in 
addition to this we should show as 
many examples of teamwork 
throughout our documentary as

Out of the 28 people we asked to complete our questionnaire, 75% of them were between the age 17- 19, 7% were between 20-25, 7% were also between 26-30 and 11% were 30 plus.   • 4. Q3. What is the main time you watch television? When asked what is the main time you watch television, it concluded that most people (53%) watch television at night time.   • 9. Q8. Do you prefer male or female voice over? 64% When we asked if people male Female preferred a male or female voice over, the results shown that 64% of people preferred a male voice over, and 36% of people 36% prepared a female voice over.

In our survey most people said that they expected a handball documentary would be on Channel 4 and BBC3 this helps us decide what channel we will put our documentary on and helps us with our initial ideas. Do you want to know about handball? 15 13 Yes No This result shows the majority of people asked chose ‘Yes’ when asked if they wanted to learn more about handball, additionally this means that our documentary should cover as much information about the sport as possible in order for people to learn as much as they can about the sport.

Family Friends By yourself Partner 36% 39% 7% 18% The outstanding result shows 36% of people asked watched documentaries with their family, rather than by themselves or with friends. Ultimately the majority of our target audience would most likely watch our documentary with their family, therefore our documentary will most certainly be suitable to watch at a family time.

What do you look for when watching a documentary? 7 12 9 humour Entertainment Infomation People who watch documentaries watch it because it interests them. 12 people said that they watch documentaries for the entertainment, this informs us that we need to put something that will entertain the audience otherwise they might turn the documentary off. Every documentary needs to have information in it otherwise it is pointless. 9 people said that they watch a documentary for information, this leads to the fact that the documentary will need to be informative as well as entertaining. As only 7 people said they watch a documentary for humour, we can now incorporate an aspect of humour in the documentary.

How do you watch documentaries? scheduled catch up other 36% 64% 0% People have the advantage of the evolution of technology which allows people to watch more or less what they want when they want on numerous electrical devices, this chart shows that 64% of people asked watched documentaries on catch up rather than when they are scheduled to play on TV, this could be due to young people prioritising other programs or other responsibilities at the time.

This allows us to have an idea of how much information to include about Handball because 18 out 28 people said that they didn’t know any rules of Handball. From the pie chart above we can see that 54% of people said they would like 46% to learn the rules of Handball.
