strategies employed by Rajabhat 
University students

What is the author’s main 
argument? 
 In any language learning, it is unavoudable for 
language learners and language teachers to deal 
with vocabulary and vocabulary learning that is the 
reason why the aim of the present investigation is to 
describe types of vocabulary learning strategies 
reported employing by undergraduate students 
learning English at Rajabhat University.
What conclusions are drawn? 
 In the conclusion part, it is reported that there were 
founf 54 idividual vocabulary learning purposes as 
well as vocabulary improvement in general. These 
strategies were reported employing for vocabulary 
not only when inside but also outside class.
What evidence does the author put 
forward to support the argument 
and the conclusion?

evidence? 
 We think that the author was right in the use of those 
tools because of the kind of information he was 
expecting to obtain. 
 The research aimed to describe and analyze the types 
of vocabulary strategies that students from Rajabhaj 
University used. 
 classroom observations and oral interview took an 
important place in the research in order to achieve 
the goal.

No, the author did not make any implicit assumptions. 
Since our point of view, the description of the goals and 
objectives were very clear. In addition to this, the 
definitions were very clear. The concepts, and the 
background. We read and learn about more interesting 
things than we expected.

Vocabulary Learning Strategies Research

  • 1. English vocabulary learning strategies employed by Rajabhat University students By Mayuree Siriwan
  • 2. What is the author’s main argument?  In any language learning, it is unavoudable for language learners and language teachers to deal with vocabulary and vocabulary learning that is the reason why the aim of the present investigation is to describe types of vocabulary learning strategies reported employing by undergraduate students learning English at Rajabhat University.
  • 3. What conclusions are drawn?  In the conclusion part, it is reported that there were founf 54 idividual vocabulary learning purposes as well as vocabulary improvement in general. These strategies were reported employing for vocabulary not only when inside but also outside class.
  • 4. What evidence does the author put forward to support the argument and the conclusion?  Classroom observation  Oral interview Written Questionnaire  Think aloud  Diary Studies
  • 5. What is your view of this evidence?  We think that the author was right in the use of those tools because of the kind of information he was expecting to obtain.  The research aimed to describe and analyze the types of vocabulary strategies that students from Rajabhaj University used.  classroom observations and oral interview took an important place in the research in order to achieve the goal.
  • 6. Has the author made any implicit assumptions about shared believes which your, the reader, you might question? No, the author did not make any implicit assumptions. Since our point of view, the description of the goals and objectives were very clear. In addition to this, the definitions were very clear. The concepts, and the background. We read and learn about more interesting things than we expected.
