checklist of personal traits.

Brainstorming:
A technique used in many workplaces to gain
as many ideas to solutions as possible as a
  venue of hearing all voices.

Group Support Systems:
Collaborative software systems set up to allow
employees enter their ideas, opinions, and
  thoughts while preventing evaluation
  apprehension and production blocking.

Playing Games

 A “Lost” Art
The Four P’s of creativity “enables researchers to study smaller manageable
components of the larger complex concept of creativity” (Puccio, 1999).

Each group must possess the ability to be free of judgment or ridicule to
succeed. They must be able to handle or tolerate a certain amount of
ambiguity and diversity (Santanan, Briggs & De Vreede, 2004).

Instructions: All participants in this session will be divided up into four groups
(Product group, Person group, Press group, and Process group). Each team
who correctly answers a question will get a piece of the map (There will be
20 random questions relating to the Four Ps of creativity-Instructor’s
choice), when all the pieces have been won all four groups will try to figure
out what the secret password is. (The pieces you obtain will give you clues).
Each group will be given 2 minutes to figure out the password based on the
clues that have been won; and then an additional minute as a combined
team to figure out what the password is based on the clues that have been
won. The group will write in one brief paragraph what they learned by
playing this game. Time will be given for discussion.
Every individual is unique in his or her perception of creativity and style
and though everyone is born with a certain amount of creativity, a
person can be trained to be more creative. The amount of creativity
that a person possesses can contain many factors such as environment,
diversity, childhood, personal preferences, attitudes, and genes
(Santanan, Briggs & Vreede, 2004)

A persons ability to heighten their level of creativity can be done and
has been demonstrated in the past (and recorded by research
conducted) by way of formal training. Everyone can learn to be aware of
certain personalities and to be more cognizant of the types of creativity
people possess. Many people fall into different levels of creativity and
choose to express themselves in different ways (Puccio, 1999).

  • 11. The Four P’s of creativity “enables researchers to study smaller manageable components of the larger complex concept of creativity” (Puccio, 1999). Each group must possess the ability to be free of judgment or ridicule to succeed. They must be able to handle or tolerate a certain amount of ambiguity and diversity (Santanan, Briggs & De Vreede, 2004). Instructions: All participants in this session will be divided up into four groups (Product group, Person group, Press group, and Process group). Each team who correctly answers a question will get a piece of the map (There will be 20 random questions relating to the Four Ps of creativity-Instructor’s choice), when all the pieces have been won all four groups will try to figure out what the secret password is. (The pieces you obtain will give you clues). Each group will be given 2 minutes to figure out the password based on the clues that have been won; and then an additional minute as a combined team to figure out what the password is based on the clues that have been won. The group will write in one brief paragraph what they learned by playing this game. Time will be given for discussion.
  • 12. Every individual is unique in his or her perception of creativity and style and though everyone is born with a certain amount of creativity, a person can be trained to be more creative. The amount of creativity that a person possesses can contain many factors such as environment, diversity, childhood, personal preferences, attitudes, and genes (Santanan, Briggs & Vreede, 2004) A persons ability to heighten their level of creativity can be done and has been demonstrated in the past (and recorded by research conducted) by way of formal training. Everyone can learn to be aware of certain personalities and to be more cognizant of the types of creativity people possess. Many people fall into different levels of creativity and choose to express themselves in different ways (Puccio, 1999).
