God communicates through words. Jesus taught us about salvation with words. He sent us to talk to others.

In this lesson, we are reminded about the basics of who and what elders are. Then we ask the question Why Don’t We Have Elders? We examine the fact that some are not qualified to serve, some think they are not qualified, and some don’t want to serve. Self-examination, study, prayer are needed so that if we have qualified men, they will choose to serve as our shepherds.
The Psalmist teaches us that the key to a great marriage is Jehovah. We must seek after His wisdom in our marriage, the wisdom from above to build our marriages. The key question is whether, once we hear the wisdom of God will we be like the wise man and do it?

It’s easy to think we love God, but the reality of that love is seen in how we treat our brethren. Three of Jesus’ parables remind us that we must be compassionate, merciful, and forgiving. We need to carefully consider whether we love or hate our brother based on how we treat them.
Can we know the Truth? While the world argues, Jesus came as the truth, teaching us the truth that we can know. Now revealed in the Bible, we can learn the importance of the Bible to our lives: fellowship with God, understanding, partaking of the divine nature, be a complete man, and be free.
The great joy of being a disciple of Jesus is the promise that we are conformed to the image of Jesus. This means that we must think, be, and live like Jesus.
The story of man is the story of sin. In this lesson we will examine sin and why a holy and loving God would deal with sin. For many of us, our first thought is that Jehovah dealt with sin because of His wrath. This seems to be an incomplete answer. Rather as a loving Father he dealt with sin to bring us back into a righteous relationship with Him.
Many of these thoughts were inspired and borrowed from Jim McGuiggan’s book: The Dragon Slayer, chapter 2: The Road leading to Bethlehem and Golgatha.
You Are Brothers. Why Do You Wrong Each OtherDave Stewart
In this lesson you will learn about the importance of having a right attitude and right actions in order to maintain our unity in Christ: specificlly humility; love; bearing with; honoring; and serving.
God reminds the people of Israel that false worship involves worship that follows our own ways, seeks our own pleasure, and uses our own words. (This lesson was heavily influenced by Showtime: Worship in the Age of Show Business, by Dan Chambers Chapters 3-4)
The second lesson considering figurative language and God’s order (first natural, then spiritual) focusing our attention on the bread from heaven (manna and Jesus) and the eating of His flesh, which leads us to consider the communion. We’ll find that in partaking of the bread and fruit of the vine we share with Christ. Like baptism, the supper may involve physical elements, but has a spiritual significance.
Demas is remember as one who forsook Paul because he loved this world. We may fall into this trap if we try to excuse ourselves as being too busy, or we hold too tightly to our riches, or we seek our own pleasure. We can overcome this temptation by remembering where our treasure is, by seeking things that are above, by not being conformed to the world and by remembering that Jesus has promised us an abundant life.
The day of judgment is considered with dread by most people. We’ll learn from John that we don’t need to face the day of judgment with dread but with confidence because we are like God, abiding in love.
In this lesson you will learn the purpose of marriage. Despite common opinion is not primarily about love nor procreation. Rather, it is about help. Our marriages should focus on pleasing God, and we should be striving to help each other get to heaven.
John writes of a new commandment which, most likely, to love one another. It is our love for one another that demonstrates the reality of our relationship with God and our brethren. This love is true when we think and act as Jesus did and is shown in what we do for one another.
Review of the key doctrines lost during the Dark Ages, but now recovered through the Protestant Reformation; this despite that fact that nominal Protestant churches have returned to the "mother church" through an era of Ecumenism. In this sermon we discuss the interplay of God's sovereignty, God's grace and our personal faith in God. Why is faith necessary, if God is sovereign and a gracious God?
In this first part of The End Times series, we lay a foundation on the importance of studying Bible prophecy, the approach we take in doing so. We establish the fact that Bible prophecy is absolutely credible and reliable. We then lay some ground work by discussing regions of the world that are of importance in Bible prophecy.

Acts 7:20-29: Moses sought to be with his brothers but they rejected him. And he was exiled. Cain refused to care for his brother, and he was alone. But it’s not good for man to be alone. Why do we slip into the thinking of Cain so easily and find ourselves alone? Being brothers is not easy, but let brotherly love continue.
Of all the metaphors for believers, the one most often used in the NT is “adelphos” (siblings, brothers and sisters). After Jesus’ ascension the company who gathered in the upper room consisted of both men and women, and Peter calls all of them brethren. In Acts 15, both Jewish believers and Gentile believers are called brethren.

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
