Tejaztlan Arte Collective was established in 2010 to reintroduce the art of storytelling through dance, theatre, and visual arts. As educators, the founders believe focusing on student strengths through these creative avenues can communicate history and educate people, as ancestors did worldwide. The collective proposes an after-school program for up to 30 middle and high school students on Mondays through Wednesdays from 4:15-6:15pm, providing free materials and supporting literacy and education standards through projects culminating in a public showcase and possible campus beautification work.
