Platform 6

On the 23rd December 1992, a young girl jumped from platform 6 and died
upon impact with an underground train. Sometimes, people say they still hear
the spine-chilling screams of the crowd who watched her die.
(Present day) The main character receives a phone call of congratulations as he
is given a new job in central London. One night, as he waits for the train home
on Platform 6, he gets a phone call from an unknown number. He stares at his
phone in disbelief as he has no signal in the underground station, then he
slowly raises it to his ear. He listens carefully as the crackling whispers of a
young girl are heard. Before he can make out what the voice is saying, the
phone goes dead. Confused, the train stops in front of him and he boards- in the
background the figure of a young girl is seen.
Days later, the main character is once again at Platform 6, waiting for the
return train. He is alone, but keeps hearing the faint sound of footsteps running
around nearby. He sits patiently looking through some work documents, and
then his phone starts ringing. He leaves it to ring, and when it doesnt stop he
presses 'end call'. Silence. Within seconds it starts ringing again, he angrily
answers and he hears the whispers of the girl. It becomes louder and louder,
and as the train pulls into the station, a blood-curdling scream is heard from the
other side of the phone. Scared, he gets onto the train instead of investigating
the mysterious phone calls any further
The next day, on his way to work he stops to ask a train station warden if they
have a signal service in the station, to which the warden replies no and then
turns to help another passer-by. Behind the warden is a newspaper stand, the
main character stops and looks carefully at the headlines and notices that one
states someone recently jumped in front of a train from Platform 6. The man
selling the newspapers says to him suddenly "that's her." He looks up, confused.
The seller continues, "it was her what made him jump... the little girl". The
main character quickly moves away from the stand, head spinning, unsure of
what to think of what he's just been told. At work, he spends his time
researching Platform 6. On screen, countless news stories of people jumping in
front of the train are seen. The main character stares at the monitor, unable to
take in the shocking discovery. He leaves work and makes his way into the
station warily. A phone rings, but after inspecting his own mobile, he realises
its not his that is ringing. He looks up to see a woman on the very edge of the
platform- she looks over her shoulder at him with a twisted, evil look on her
face. She lowers her eyes to the mobile phone and within seconds she jumps
onto the tracks. The main character jumps up but finds himself too late to
change what's about to happen as the speeding train comes to a stop in front of
him. The screams of other people are heard. The main character stumbles away
from the platform, clutching his head- vision blurred. He looks up to see the
young girl who died years ago staring at him (the audience see other victims in
the background too, including the woman who just jumped) Suddenly they
disappear as a warden comes over to help main character up, he leaves the
station, returning home for the night.
A few nights later, after skipping days of work, the main character feels the
urge to visit the station. He buys a ticket, but when he looks at it, the text is
scratched out leaving only the date- 23/12/1992. He runs down to the platform
in a state. People give him uneasy looks as he stares at the tracks. His phone
begins to ring and as he tightens his grip on the mobile, he jumps from
Platform 6.
