This document discusses the author's personal values and ideological framework regarding social work practice. The author believes social work should aim to create equality for all people and provide support without discrimination. While many focus on supporting minorities and women, the author argues more attention must also be paid to issues facing men. The author has researched suicide prevention among older males. Currently, the field focuses more on diversity and sexual orientation but neglects issues like those faced by males. Overall, the author argues social work should pursue social change and justice for all people in a society, not just specific groups.

For this topic on reflective writing I choose to write about the quote, “In response to pressures to be more socially responsible, corporations are becoming more active in global communities through direct involvement in social responsibilities (Hess & Warren, 2008).” This is defined as the concept, in which organizations integrate socially as well as environmental concerns in their business operations and stakeholder interactions (Kotler & Lee, 2005). What caught my attention to write about this is the desire to communicate and share ideas about the importance of corporate social responsibility for organizations towards society. Many organizations have grown due to the support they got from society as it plays a major role in the sustainability of these organizations. For instance, providing the resources that are needed to run organizations.
This, therefore, got me thinking that it would be also a good idea for the same organizations to consider doing something out of the goodwill for the community to give back at goodwill. According to this quote, many organizations have taken the initiative to work towards community wellness and this was as a result of pressure. However, some of these firms have been pushed to practice corporate social responsibility by the pressure from stakeholders. Organizations need to understand the need for them to involve in good deeds towards the society since it is the society that contributes largely to the wellness of them through promotions like buying and marketing their products to others (Wang, Tong, Takeuchi, & George, 2016).
Reflective.
This quote made me reflect on organizations like Deloitte, IBM, Apple, and LinkedIn just to mention but a few which were among the top 20 corporate socially responsible firms in 2017. I came to understand that many companies had adopted this initiative in the quest to give back to society in ways like helping the less fortunate, providing educational as well as health services. IBM, for instance, plays a major role in promoting as well as offering support on education, economic development, and global health among other many initiatives. I also realized that corporate social responsibility played a major role in boosting the reputation of these firms and that these grew even more from this initiative. Organizations taking part in corporate social responsibility have the advantage of selling themselves more to society. Society tends to appreciate and love such organizations more and this helped me understand how it affected their growth and development.

Social worker
Social work remains one of the most important professionals in the owing role it plays in the community and society. In life, the social, economic, political and spiritual aspect defines the whole concept of life. In the event any of the mentioned aspects fail to functions as expected, the life of human life is endangered. In the world, social injustices, economic inequality and religious misunderstanding have been on the rise which eventually affects socially, economically and mentally affects human beings. In presence of these issues, social workers are needed to bring hope to lives of people, advocate for the less fortunate and voiceless and indeed act in self-denial to for the good of the majority and society. In view of this, social work is the most significant career to bring transformation in the society.
Referring to the Gee, ascertain the need to have a clear understanding of the discourse. According to the Gee, social groups have beliefs, values and systems which define them and if any an individual need have clear mastery of these ingredients to claim membership of such group. Therefore, to effectively act and influence change in the society, the social worker need to walk and act in the values, beliefs and systems that define the office of the social worker or in other words, the discourse of the social work (Hennessey, 2015). Further, Gee argues that status and power is developed when individuals have dominant discourse (Hennessey, 2015). Therefore, the success of the social workers is born in the alter of the compromise but rather, standing in the values, code of ethics and using the language that indeed describes one as an aggressive social worker.
In the career and discourse, there are most important values, actions, language and system of the beliefs which being one need to subscribe to as the member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW). NASW documents 6 ethical core values that each professional bows to and is the requirement to adhere and comply with the established values. First, social workers should be ready to offer service to humanity. According to this ethical value, the interest of the other people should be the priority and stand above the self-interest (Miller, 2018). Considering numerous social problems in society, social workers need to concentrate on providing solutions to the people and not focusing on elevation their social status. In view of this, social workers to be ready and willing to volunteer themselves for the sake of making the lives of other people better. In the process of offering service to the humanity, they should not seek to compare skills and professionalism with financial returns that they make but what should stand paramount in meeting the needs of the people (Miller, 2018).
Second, social work discourse is defined by the desire to promote social justice in society. Social workers should be driven by the desire to bring social change to th ...

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

1. SWTP339 Law And Social Work
Answers:
Introduction
The understanding of Social Work practice is not only focused on ethical implications in the
life of every human being. For many people, it also is attached to personal mindset and
opinions towards a society which is not managed or even taken seriously enough so that it
directly affects and create a need within the person to make a change or become part of a
change themselves (aasw.asn.au 2020). My belief and mindset are not directly relevant to
what I have seen or have experienced in life but my opinion about certain prospects in life
are more focused on a specific part of the society which in many ways is integral yet it
forgets the other prospects that also needs to be looked upon. The following reflection essay
is focused on presenting personal values about social work practices along with
understanding ideologies as well as the ideological environment of human service practice
associated with personal understanding. The work further analyses and discusses the
statement associated with social change and social control in the light of personal values
and ideologies.
Discussion
To think and talk about my values in the practice of social work there are many different
factors that I would believe have pushed me towards this specific cause in life. At one point
be ideology and the opinion of becoming someone who could bring out a change and create
a positive scope of transformation in the world where concepts like peace as well as dignity
or equality are easily becoming a major prospect for every person. For me, these concepts
always matter to help me understand the direction of growth that I was taking toward
becoming a social worker (Rice, Day and Briskman 2018). A crucial reason of personal value
that I have related to social work practice is to be the prospect of change within the society
not only for the minority communities of the communities that are often taken into
consideration for the lack of support they have been able to gain socially but to also look at
the overshadowed part of it all. On one hand, the women's community, as well as the
minority community based on factors like ethnicity or race, are the focus of Social Work
practice across the world however the population within the hierarchy of the society of the
men in the world are often ignored for the factor of the gender Supremacy that they hold.
2. However, as a social worker, I focus on and hope to be a part of a world where this
discrimination does not occur and the problem and the pain of every human are regarded
similarly. This is one of the core reasons why I have invested a huge amount of my time in
researching and supporting men who specifically have suicidal tendencies to work towards
suicide prevention specifically among older males.
This is one of the core reasons why my ideological framework for my ideologies that
underpins my practice is prominently focused on the idea of being someone who has to
create an equal world for all. Not only that my focus is relevant to the idea of providing
support to all in the right way as all the major issues within the society are not only directed
to specific people based on specific prospects like gender or even raise but to every human
being. The biggest example to understand the same is the increasing number of reported
cases of sexual harassment among men in the current time along with increasing cases of
depression faced by them (un.org 2022). My ideological Framework in no regard
completely takes away the opinion that there is a disadvantage that is faced by a specific
community or a specific gender more than others who in the eyes of the society are the
stronger part of the community as well as the stronger part of the society but in reality, it is
more distinctive towards the idea that everyone in this world deserves support and
sympathy from the people.
On the other hand, the prospects associated with the ideological environment of human
service practice hold a very different name associated with social work around the world.
On one hand, the social work environment and the Global perspective are focused on
specific focal points at the current moment the diversity of understanding and the diversity
of knowledge towards the issues within the society is growing from different perspectives
(Bacchi 2009). At one point the ideological environment of the human service factors was
more focused on the concept of Race itself however which time it has diversified its range
with better understanding and the increasing number of cases within the society that has
been able to inflict the situation towards women and the inequality they face within the
society.
At present, the Full focus of the environment of human service practice has diverted
towards different sexual orientations around the world and the kind of problems that they
face however the issue around the problem faced by human service practice at the present
moment is the lack of attention that is given to my ideological framework. There is no
progressive focus as well as action taken towards the Welfare of the specific part of the
society that is often considered as the part of society that inflicts Justice on the other
population. This in terms happens due to a lack of understanding of the fact that injustice
and lack of inequality within the society can take place with anyone.
Statement of social change being associated to characteristic of social work is in many ways
a true concept as it not only focuses on presenting and understanding within the society but
not only focuses on one part of the world to be the one who faces social injustice but for all.
3. On the other hand, when it comes to social control it in some ways is a factor of social work
that needs to become integral as it not only governs a specific level of integrity in the
progression of Social Work practice for all humans (Carson and Kerr 2017).
Conclusion
I can say that in my opinion through this particular concept of Social Work practice and its
resolution with factors like social change as well as social control the code idea that I
proposed for there is a need of understanding a constant Social Work progression, not for
one but all.
