This presentation discusses the main causes of global warming. The four main greenhouse gases that contribute to global warming are carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and CFCs. These gases trap heat in the atmosphere. The major sources of carbon dioxide are power plants burning fossil fuels and vehicles. Methane comes from sources such as rice farming, cattle, and fossil fuel production. Nitrous oxide emissions result from fertilizer use, cars, and burning organic matter. CFCs are emitted by refrigerators, air conditioners, and spray products. Carbon dioxide accounts for 60% of greenhouse gases, while methane contributes 20% and nitrous oxide contributes 6%.
