EMC Project name: CAS
Role: SW Quality Engineer
Description: The Cloud Accelerator Service (CAS) offering is a factory installable cloud services
portal from VCE that enables cloud management and orchestration (M&O) capabilities around the
Vblock System. Management and orchestration products such as VMware’s suite of management
tools, including vCenter Orchestrator (vCO), vCloud Director (vCD), the Cisco Intelligent Automation
for Cloud (CIAC) and many other IT management solutions simplify deployment and integration of the
cloud service on Vblock Systems using features such as IT service catalogs and workflow engines.
These tools simplify Vblock Systems as an infrastructure for cloud services by abstracting the overall
provisioning while offering granular access to the individual components for troubleshooting and fault
management
Roles and Responsibilities:
Involved in regression and concurrency testing of VCO workflows.
Involved in automating the build deployment process and vco workflows.
Involved in automating the testlink integration with existing automation; where I developed testlink
xmlrpc client which is compatible with python 2.6
Symphony Projects:
Automation of testing of WiFi handheld device/Badge
Role: Product Engineer
Description: This involved testing and automating the various kind of testing done on a critical
device which is used in Healthcare for communication and patient care. This device on a bird’s eye
view is a small device with WiFi as a communication medium and runs a Linux kernel with support for
audio, display, speaker, USB and mic to facilitate the Voice over WiFi. On a back end this has a
server which runs a speech recognition engine and rest of the database for handling calls and
messages. Testing of this required automating bunch of proprietary tools, device itself, Configuration
of WiFi network and the backend Server
Roles and Responsibilities:
Configure identified setup for automation, document them
Identify the packages for Python and build library out of this to automate test cases as scripts
Unit test and deliver the developed scripts and maintain them for issues found
Writing modules and scripts to enhance the framework.
Have Taken the Complete ownership of the module for development of automation.

Cybex Treadmill (770T)
Role: Product Engineer - Testing
Description: The goal of the project is to test the Treadmill (770T) exercise equipment.
Testing is based on Command line interface to the hardware Unit and also touch screen display. End
to End automation involves touch screen automation (based on command simulation). The data base
for the test cases is Testlink. Perl scripts are used as test logic. The framework consists of two parts
as Server Framework and Client Framework.
Server part is responsible for Build and deploy of executable to respective clients. Depending on the
test plan selected in testlink server will fetch the test scripts from version control system (SVN) and
send the same to client. Client is responsible for executing the test logic and concluding the results,
same will be sent back to server. Server updates the dashboard and Testlink for results. For the test
cases with user interaction semi-automated test logic is developed using Perl-TK and Command line
interface. Perl modules used: Win32::SerialPort, Win32::GuiTest, Win32::Screenshot, Perl-TK.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Understand the requirements of various modules and preparing test cases
Developing Perl scripts and modules which are part of End-to-End automation Framework
Preparing and executing manual test cases
Interacting with Clients and Onsite Co-coordinators.
Automated test execution using Perl modules developed in End-to-End automation Framework and
also involved in system module testing & reporting bug.
