2) Prophecy gives believers understanding of the times and what they ought to do, helping them navigate an increasingly deceptive world.
3) There is safety in obeying prophecy, as it warns believers of coming dangers and judgments, preparing them for what is to come.
The document examines several modern prophetic phenomena and argues that while some claims of prophecy, healing, and tongues may appear impressive, they do not stand up to biblical scrutiny and often

2. Those who accepted the "Midnight Cry" message calling believers to go out and meet the bridegroom left their churches which had rejected the Advent message. Over 50,000 joined this movement by 1844.
3. After the disappointment of 1844, it was understood that Jesus had entered the Most Holy Place of the heavenly sanctuary to begin the final atonement cleansing, and the third angel's message of Revelation was given to warn of the mark
1. In November 1848 at a meeting in Dorchester, Massachusetts, Ellen White was given a vision about the Sabbath truth.

Anakin and the self fulfilling prophecyalexderienzo
Anakin has a premonition that his wife Padme will die in childbirth. In an attempt to prevent this prophecy from coming true, Anakin joins the dark side of the force. However, his actions of embracing the dark side and abusing Padme actually cause the prophecy to self-fulfill, as Padme loses the will to live after seeing what Anakin has become and dies after giving birth to Luke and Leia. The document discusses how self-fulfilling prophecies can occur when someone believes a prophecy so strongly that their actions to prevent it inadvertently cause it to happen.

Dimensions of the 15 HP tractor seat and controls were then modified based on anthropometric data from the 5th, 50th, and 95th percentiles of Indian populations as well as feedback from the operator survey. Post-modification surveys found the new seat design improved driver comfort, ease of control reachability, and visibility.
This document summarizes various techniques for scalable continual top-k keyword search in relational databases. There are two main approaches: schema-based and graph-based. Schema-based methods generate candidate networks from the database schema and evaluate them. Graph-based methods represent the database as a graph and use techniques like bidirectional expansion. Top-k keyword search finds the highest scoring k results instead of all results. Methods like the Global Pipeline algorithm and Skyline-Sweeping algorithm efficiently process top-k queries over multiple candidate networks. Techniques for updating results with database changes include maintaining an initial top-k and recalculating scores. Lattice-based methods share computational costs for keyword search in data streams.
To add fractions, find the least common denominator (LCD) and multiply the numerators and denominators to convert the fractions to equivalent fractions with a common denominator. Then, add the numerators and keep the common denominator. Finally, simplify the resulting fraction if possible.

This document summarizes the Workmen's Compensation Act of 1923 in India. The key points are:
1) The Act provides for payment of compensation by certain classes of employers to their workmen for injuries suffered from workplace accidents.
2) It defines important terms like "employer", "workman", and "compensation". Employers must pay compensation to workmen for injuries arising out of or in the course of employment.
3) Contracting certain specified occupational diseases will also be treated as employment injuries entitling workmen to compensation. State governments can add diseases and occupations to the schedule through notifications.

CHRISTIAN SUPERNATURAL TEACHINGS, BIBLE CLASS LESSONS, GOSPELS BY LEADER OLUMBA OLUMBA OBU, THE SUPERNATURAL TEACHER AND SOLE SPIRITUAL HEAD, BROTHERHOOD OF THE CROSS AND STAR
The document discusses the roles and ministry of the Holy Spirit. It describes the Holy Spirit as the third person of the Trinity who was involved in Creation and has divine attributes like omniscience, omnipresence, and omnipotence. It outlines the Holy Spirit's roles as Counselor, empowerer, and guide. The document also provides ways to cooperate with the Holy Spirit, like being filled with the Spirit, and how the Holy Spirit empowers believers with power to witness, pray, confront evil, perform miracles, and heal in order to impact non-believers.
The document contains excerpts from Ellen G. White discussing prophetic gifts and health issues. It warns that tobacco is poisonous and can cause diseases like tuberculosis and cancer. It also recounts visions she had of buildings being consumed by fire despite being deemed fireproof, foretelling the 1906 San Francisco earthquake and fires. The excerpts aim to demonstrate Ellen G. White's prophetic ministry and gift of prophecy.
Religious Freedom - Jamaica/ The Shaking - Trinidaddoublecheck
Two large programs were recently staged in Trinidad and one scheduled for Jamaica shortly. In light of the Bible and Spirit of Prophecy what does this mean for Seventh-day Adventists? How does it help us to know that the union of Church and State is picking up steam? And for the member of the SDA church - what does it mean to us and our being shaken or sealed?
Religious freedom- Jamaica /The shaking - TrinidadAntonio Bernard
This document discusses the importance of God's people remaining separate from false teachings and apostate churches, which are compared to "wells without water" and "clouds without water." It warns that some religious leaders and ministers may claim to believe the truth but have not fully converted, and thus lead people astray. It emphasizes that God calls His people to remain a "peculiar treasure," separate from the world and holding to the truth. A few will remain faithful to the end.
This is a study of Jesus as the light of the Gentiles and the glory of Israel. Jesus was a universal light to both Jews and Gentiles, Nobody needs to stay in the darkness, for the light of Jesus is everywhere for all people.
The second baptism that God has for His children is the baptism of the Holy Spirit. This is the 5th foundation stone in this teaching series. How does God display His power in your life? Which gift of the Holy Spirit have you received?
This document provides commentary on Isaiah 60 from multiple scholars. It discusses themes of Israel's redemption and restoration, with Jerusalem realizing God's promises. The prophecies foretell the coming of the Messiah and the full manifestation of his kingdom. When he comes, it will be like the sun rising to dispel the darkness over Israel. The nation will reflect God's glory to the earth. The commentators interpret the chapter's imagery of light and glory as referring to the light of the gospel and God's presence with his people.
The document discusses the 144,000 and who they are. It explains that they will be sealed by God before the winds are released, marking them as a special group who have remained faithful. While the exact meaning of the 144,000 is uncertain, the key is for believers to strive daily to strengthen their relationship with God and help others do the same, as this group will only be known by God. The focus should be on spiritual preparation rather than debates over the 144,000's identity.
The document discusses the books of Daniel and Revelation and their purpose of revealing the character of Jesus Christ. It notes that Daniel's name means "God is my judge" and Revelation reveals Jesus Christ. Therefore, these books reveal who reflects Christ's character through the Holy Spirit by living according to the everlasting gospel.
The document then discusses the "sea of glass" mentioned in Revelation 15:2. It states this sea represents the ultimate triumph of God's saints over the beast (papal Rome), the beast's image (apostate Protestantism), the mark of the beast (Sunday worship decreed by the papacy), and the number of the beast's name. It claims the sea of glass symbolizes God's
The document discusses God's unfolding plan through history as revealed in the Bible. It notes that the Old Testament contained prophecies that anticipated future fulfillment. However, certain mysteries about God's plan were not known even to the prophets, including the incarnation of Christ, the inclusion of Gentiles in God's plan, and the formation of the Church. These mysteries have now been revealed. The document argues that the prophecies and mysteries can be reconciled by interpreting the Old Testament prophecies literally while recognizing God has complementary purposes for Israel and the Church.
The document discusses the Holy Spirit from several biblical passages and church teachings. It describes the Holy Spirit as the third person of the Trinity, sent by God to empower and guide believers. Key points include Jesus commanding the disciples to await the Holy Spirit's coming, the Spirit's descent at Pentecost establishing the Church, and the Spirit's role in sanctifying believers through the sacraments and spiritual gifts.
To be baptized in the Holy Spirit is a wonderful, rewarding, powerful experience. The Holy Spirit gives us supernatural gifts to make us more effective in spreading the Gospel. Be very careful that you don't quench the Spirit.
The document discusses the three angels' messages of Revelation 14:6-12. It provides context on the book of Revelation and explains that an angel delivers God's messages to humans. The three angels' messages warn of impending judgment for worshipping the beast and call people to worship God as creator. The messages are a final appeal from God for people to come out of Babylon before facing his wrath.
1) The document discusses arguments for and against cessationism, the view that spiritual gifts like prophecy, tongues, and healing have ceased.
2) It examines 7 arguments commonly used for cessationism and provides counterarguments for each, arguing that spiritual gifts described in the Bible are still relevant today.
3) Key points discussed include the purpose of miracles, whether the roles of apostles and prophets are still ongoing, and whether Scripture and church history support the continuing work of the Holy Spirit through spiritual gifts. The document ultimately takes the position that spiritual gifts have not ceased.
The document discusses the pure everlasting gospel as presented in Revelation 14. It explains that the gospel has been contaminated over time with unbiblical teachings added after the death of Jesus. The three angels' messages of Revelation 14 will restore the pure gospel by removing these contaminations. Their message will call people back to worshipping God as the Creator and keeping all of His commandments, including the seventh-day Sabbath. This restored gospel will empower the final outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit reveals mysteries and secrets from God that are beyond human comprehension.
The document discusses how the Holy Spirit unraveled mysteries for Daniel and the king that no one else could understand. It then explains that the Holy Spirit reveals insights into deep truths, the future, and the mysteries of God's kingdom.
The document also analyzes 1 Corinthians 2:9-10, explaining that the things God has prepared cannot be understood through human senses, science, or hearsay. Only the Holy Spirit can reveal the deep truths and mysteries that God has for those who love him.
Similar to Sure Word Day 3 - Why Prophecy is Important (20)
This document contains excerpts from Ellen White on the topics of Isaiah 58, the condition of the world, justification by faith as the third angel's message, revealing God's character of love, helping the needy world, and more. Key points include:
- Isaiah 58 outlines God's chosen fast of loosening bands of wickedness and letting the oppressed go free.
- Justification by faith is the message of Christ's righteousness that prepares the way for His second coming, which is the glory of God in the third angel's message.
- God's people are called to reveal His character of love by manifesting His grace in their lives and helping those in need.
The document discusses two main decrees in end times prophecy:
1. The first decree issued by the United States that causes persecution of God's people.
2. The universal death decree issued after probation closes that gives authority to kill saints.
It argues that the universal death decree cannot be issued before probation closes, as God's restraining influence on governments remains until Jesus finishes His work as high priest. The Great Controversy and Spirit of Prophecy writings depict the death decree only occurring after Jesus leaves the sanctuary at the end of the investigative judgment.
The document discusses the parable of the ten virgins from Matthew 25:1-13. It provides commentary on the symbolism and meaning within the parable. Key points include:
- The ten virgins represent the experience of the end-time church. The wise virgins have oil while the foolish do not.
- The oil represents the Holy Spirit or heavenly grace. The lamps represent the Word of God.
- At the midnight cry, the foolish virgins are found unready as they lack the Holy Spirit and righteous character.
- Christ's coming in the parable represents the investigative judgment, where characters will be weighed in God's balances. The foolish will be
This document discusses the origins and characteristics of the Laodicean church in the context of Seventh-day Adventist theology. It references letters from 1845 that argue the Laodicean church emerges from the Philadelphia church and will be lukewarm, self-sufficient, and in need of nothing despite being wretched. The letters warn of a growing Laodicean influence among Sabbatarian Adventists that will oppose the message of the Advent Review publishing committee.
This document discusses the symbolism of the church being the bride of Christ. It asserts that in 1844, Christ entered the most holy place of the heavenly sanctuary to be married to the New Jerusalem, which represents His union with the church. It states that Christ loves the church and gave Himself for it. The church is composed of true believers who are citizens of the New Jerusalem. When Christ returns, He will consummate His blessed union with His church. The sealing of God's people represents their marriage to Christ. The judgment prepares God's people to receive the seal and be part of Christ's eternal bride.
The document discusses the true nature of the shaking that was prophesied by Ellen White. It argues that the shaking is the work of the investigative judgment, where God separates the wheat from the tares. During this time, God's people experience an affliction of the soul where they plead for forgiveness and cleansing. Jesus then provides a special atonement or cleansing for His people, removing the record of their sins and clothing them in His perfect righteousness. This final atonement experienced during the judgment is what prepares God's people to receive the latter rain and give the loud cry.
The document discusses the attainment of ultimate character perfection in God's people prior to the Second Advent. It asserts that character development will continue even after being sealed, as revival and strengthening from the latter rain and trials during the time of trouble further perfect character. God's people will mature until Jesus' character is perfectly reproduced in them, at which time He will return. The latter rain prepares the righteous for translation at the Second Coming by ripening their characters like grain.
The document discusses the judgment of the living as a period of time during which God's people will be judged and sealed or rejected prior to the close of probation. It provides biblical references and quotes from Ellen White that describe the judgment of the living as an investigative process where names are accepted or rejected. The quotes portray it as a solemn event where the righteous will receive God's seal and be separated from the unrighteous.
1. The document discusses the order of events outlined in Acts 3:19 regarding repentance, the blotting out of sins in the investigative judgment, and the reception of the latter rain.
2. It provides commentary from the book The Great Controversy and writings of Ellen G. White to support the interpretation that sins must first be blotted out in the investigative judgment before the latter rain can be received.
3. Diagrams are presented showing the relationship between repentance, the investigative judgment, and the latter rain as the final events in earth's history unfold.
1. The document discusses the glorious state of the church during the latter rain, which follows a shaking or sifting of the church.
2. It describes how the faithful will sigh and cry over the sins in the church, and will be sealed as they afflict their souls.
3. After the shaking removes the unfaithful, the latter rain will revive God's people and the church will appear "fair as the moon, clear as the sun, and terrible as an army with banners."
The document discusses the experience that will bring God's people the seal of God. It describes how God's people will recognize their own sinfulness and unworthiness during the investigative judgment. Jesus will take away their filthy garments and clothe them with his robe of righteousness. They will receive the seal of God and be eternally secure from the tempter's devices, protected by holy angels.
Dr. Kellogg argued that while some believed the loud cry had already begun, the works described in scripture that should precede the loud cry had not fully been carried out by Seventh-day Adventists. He believed that Adventists must do more in areas of health, charity, and helping the needy before the loud cry could make a significant impact. Others like A.T. Jones believed the loud cry had already begun through the revelation of Christ's righteousness. There was disagreement around whether Adventists were adequately fulfilling their missional responsibilities prior to the loud cry.
The document discusses the need for churches to fulfill their duty of helping those in need through acts of service and charity. It suggests that when churches actively work to relieve suffering in their communities through programs like medical missionary work, God will bless their efforts and use them to spread his message throughout the world. It also notes that failing to engage in works of mercy keeps churches from prospering.
The document discusses the biblical concept of atonement. It notes that atonement means "at-one-ment" or being "at one" with God. It explores multiple Bible passages showing Jesus and the Father being "one" in works and purpose. It indicates Jesus' works of healing and helping people fulfilled Isaiah's prophecy. It suggests true followers of Christ will perform similar works of healing, helping the oppressed, feeding the hungry, and uplifting those in need. By doing these works, believers can experience at-one-ment with God and others.
The document discusses how believers are sanctified and born again by the Word and the Holy Spirit. It provides several Bible verses showing that sanctification comes through the Spirit and belief in the truth of God's Word. The Word of God is said to be the mechanism by which the Spirit is carried to the believer, as the messages of God's Spirit are poured out through His Word. When believers accept the living, spirit-giving messages of God's Word, the Holy Spirit is then able to work within them to transform the mind. However, the document cautions that the Spirit should not be confused with God or thought of as inhabiting believers in a way that compromises free will. Overall, the key points are that sanctification
This document discusses the final demonstration of God's wisdom and justice. It explains that God will demonstrate through the sealing of the 144,000 that He can correctly identify those who are worthy of salvation. It notes the 144,000 will face their most difficult test during the "time of Jacob's trouble" when it will seem like God has become their enemy, yet they will remain faithful. This will prove to onlooking beings that God's judgments on saving the righteous and destroying the wicked are justified.
The document discusses the history of interactions between the Jews and Greeks after Alexander the Great's conquests. Many young Jewish men were encouraged to study in Greek schools in Alexandria to gain knowledge, influence, and prestige. Over time, this led to a decline in spiritual influence as rabbinical teachings and traditions increased in importance. By the time of Christ, the Jews had lost sight of the spiritual meaning behind their rituals and ceremonies, instead focusing on outward compliance to numerous man-made traditions and laws. This legalism and hypocrisy had replaced a relationship with God.
This document discusses the latter rain and Pentecost, drawing comparisons between the two outpourings of the Holy Spirit. It provides biblical references to support the concept of a latter rain revival as foretold in prophecies such as Zechariah 10:1 and Joel 2:23. The document asserts that as with Pentecost, God's people must earnestly seek the Holy Spirit and have living connections to God in order to experience the latter rain and be prepared for Christ's return.
This document discusses the significance of Pentecost and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. It references visions of a great reformatory movement among God's people with signs of healing and intercession. The Pentecostal outpouring was a sign from heaven that Christ's inauguration as priest and king was complete. The document encourages studying the book of Acts and cultivating deeper piety and humility. It draws parallels between the former and latter rains spoken of by Joel that ripen the harvest, representing the early and latter outpourings of God's spirit.
The document discusses the financial crisis and its relation to biblical prophecies. It warns that the centralization of wealth and power in the hands of the few at the expense of the many, combined with unrest among the poorer classes and worldwide dissemination of revolutionary ideas, risks involving the world in a struggle similar to the French Revolution. It cites biblical passages predicting men's hearts failing from fear of events coming upon the earth, the powers of heaven being shaken, and the coming of the Son of man. It also warns about a future where no one will be able to buy or sell without receiving a mark from or pledging allegiance to the beast.

It seems that current missionary work requires spending a lot of money, preparing a lot of materials, and traveling to far away places, so that it feels like missionary work. But what was the result they brought back? It's just a lot of photos of activities, fun eating, drinking and some playing games. And then we have to do the same thing next year, never ending. The church once mentioned that a certain missionary would go to the field where she used to work before the end of his life. It seemed that if she had not gone, no one would be willing to go. The reason why these missionary work is so difficult is that no one obeys God’s words, and the Bible is not the main content during missionary work, because in the eyes of those who do not obey God’s words, the Bible is just words and cannot be connected with life, so Reading out God's words is boring because it doesn't have any life experience, so it cannot be connected with human life. I will give a few examples in the hope that this situation can be changed. A375

2. 2Pe 1:19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy;
whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light
that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the
day star arise in your hearts:
2Co 4:6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out
of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light
of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus
Christ.
Our minds has been illuminated by the Word of God and
it is like a light that shine in darkness (Isaiah 60:1-3,
Matthew 5:13-16).
The doctrines which we preach we hve not derived from
men in any form. They are no elaborated by human
reasoning or science, nor are they imparted by tradition.
They are communicated directly by the Source of all
light--the true God--who had shines in the hearts of His
children. Having been thus illuminated, we are bound to
go and make known to others the truths which God had
imparted to us.
3. Who commanded the
light, etc. Ge 1:3. God
caused it to shine by his
simple command. He
said, "Let there be light,
and there was light."
Prophecy is equated to
that light which actually
separates truth from
4. That the mind is by nature
ignorant and benighted--to an
extent which may be properly
compared with the darkness which
prevailed before God commanded
the light to shine. Indeed, the
darkness which prevailed before
the light was formed, was a most
striking emblem of the darkness
which exists in the mind of man
before it is enlightened by
revelation, and by the Holy Spirit
5. Psalms 119:130
The entrance of thy
words giveth light;
it giveth
understanding unto
the simple.
6. Ps 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light
unto my path.
The word of God directs us in our work and way, and a
dark place indeed the world would be without it. The
commandment is a lamp kept burning with the oil of the
Spirit, as a light to direct us in the choice of our way,
and the steps we take in that way. The keeping of God's
commands here meant, was that of a sinner under a
dispensation of mercy, of a believer having part in the
covenant of grace. The psalmist is often afflicted; but
with longing desires to become more holy, offers up
daily prayers for quickening grace. We cannot offer any
thing to God, that he will accept but what he is pleased
to teach us to do. To have our soul or life continually in
our hands, implies constant danger of life; yet he did
not forget God's promises nor his precepts. Numberless
are the snares laid by the wicked; and happy is that
servant of God, whom they have not caused to err from
his Master's precepts. Heavenly treasures are a
heritage for ever; all the saints accept them as such,
therefore they can be content with little of this world.
We must look for comfort only in the way of duty, and
that duty must be done. A good man, by the grace of
7. Not only does the Word of God inform us of
His will, but, as a light on a path in
darkness, it shows us how to follow the
right and avoid the wrong way. The lamp of
the Word is not the sun. He would blind our
eyes in our present fallen state; but we may
bless God for the light shining as in a dark
place, to guide us until the Sun of
Righteousness shall come, and we shall be
made capable of seeing Him (2Pe 1:19; Re
22:4). The lamp is fed with the oil of the
Spirit. The allusion is to the lamps and
torches carried at night before an Eastern
caravan.
8. COMPARE 2PETER 2:19 AND
PROVERBS 4:18
2Peter 1:19 We have also a more sure
word of prophecy; whereunto ye do
well that ye take heed, as unto a light
that shineth in a dark place, until the
day dawn, and the day star arise in
your hearts:
Pr 4:18 But the path of the just
is as the shining light, that
shineth more and more unto
9. The path of the wicked is gloomy, dark, and
dangerous; that of the righteous is open,
luminous, and instructive. This verse
contains a fine metaphor; it refers to the
sun rising above the horizon, and the
increasing twilight, till his beams shine full
upon the earth. This seems plainly to refer
to the progress of the rising sun while
below the horizon; and the gradual increase
of the light occasioned by the reflection of
his rays by means of the atmosphere, till at
last he is completely elevated above the
horizon, and then the prepared day has
fully taken place, the sun having risen at
10. The truly wise man is but in his
twilight here below; but he is in a
state of glorious preparation for the
realms of everlasting light; till at last,
emerging from darkness and the
shadows of death, he is ushered into
the full blaze of endless felicity. Yet
previously to his enjoyment of this
glory, which is prepared for him, he is
going-walking in the commandments of
his God blameless; and illuminating-reflecting
the light of the salvation
which he has received on all those
11. WHY DO WE HAVE TO STUDY
THE SURE WORD OF
PROPHECY?
BECAUSE IT IS LIGHT AND
LIGHT EXPOSES DARKNESS,
NOTICE:
Eph 5:11 And have no
fellowship with the unfruitful
works of darkness, but rather
reprove them.
12. Have no religious connection whatever with
heathens or their worship.
Unfruitful works of darkness] Probably
alluding to the mysteries among the heathens,
and the different lustrations and rites through
which the initiated went in the caves and dark
recesses where these mysteries were
celebrated; all which he denominates works of
darkness, because they were destitute of true
wisdom; and unfruitful works, because they
were of no use to mankind; the initiated being
obliged, on pain of death, to keep secret what
they had seen, heard, and done: hence they
were called aporrhta musthria, unspeakable
mysteries-things that were not to be divulged.
That the apostle may refer to magic and
incantations is also probable, for to these the
Ephesians were greatly addicted.
13. Rather reprove them.]
Bear a testimony against
them; convince them that
they are wrong; confute
them in their vain
reasons; reprove them for
their vices, which are
flagrant, while pretending
to superior illumination.
16. A SURE WORD OF PROPHECY MAKES
US KNOW THE TIME.
1CH 12:32 OF THE CHILDREN OF
ISSACHAR, MEN WHO HAD
UNDERSTANDING OF THE TIMES, TO
KNOW WHAT ISRAEL OUGHT TO DO,
THE HEADS OF THEM WERE TWO
HUNDRED; AND ALL THEIR
BROTHERS WERE AT THEIR
COMMANDMENT.
17. Matt 24:24
“For false christs and false prophets
will rise and show great signs and
wonders to deceive, if possible,
even the elect.”
18. “The coming of the lawless one
is according to the working of
Satan, with all power, signs and
lying wonders.” (2 Thess 2:9).
19. Before the final visitation of God’s
judgments upon the earth there will be
among the people of the Lord such a
revival of primitive godliness as has not
been witnessed since apostolic times . . .
The enemy of souls desires to hinder this work; and
before the time for such a movement shall come, he will
endeavour to prevent it by introducing a counterfeit. In
those churches which he can bring under his deceptive
power he will make it appear that God’s special
blessing is poured out; there will be manifest what is
thought to be great religious interest. Multitudes will
exult that God is working marvellously for them, when
the work is that of another spirit. Under a religious
guise, Satan will seek to extend his influence over the
Christian world. (GC, 464)
20. We will look at three phenomena
taking place in the Christian world
today:

22. Acts 2:1-4
When the Day of
Pentecost had fully come, they were all
with one accord in one place. 2 And
suddenly there came a sound from
heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind,
and it filled the whole house where they
were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to
them divided tongues, as of fire, and
one sat upon each of them. 4 And they
were all filled with the Holy Spirit and
began to speak with other tongues, as
the Spirit gave them utterance.
23. Acts 2:5-6
5 And there were
dwelling in Jerusalem
Jews, devout men,
from every nation
under heaven. 6 And
when this sound
occurred, the
multitude came
together, and were
confused, because
everyone heard them
speak in his own
language.
24. “The reason some of
you don’t speak
fluently,” he says, “is that
you tried to think of the
sounds. So when you
pray and you start speaking
in your heavenly language,
don’t try to think ... you
don’t have to think in order
to pray in the Spirit.” (Ibid)
25. This desire to switch off
the mind and
disconnect from all that
is rational is one of the
primary characteristics
of pagan mystery
religions
27. Some of these persons have
exercises which they call gifts and say
that the Lord has placed them
in the church. They have an
unmeaning gibberish which
they call the unknown tongue, which is
unknown not only by man but by the Lord
and all heaven. Such gifts are manufactured
by men and women, aided by the great
deceiver. Fanaticism, false excitement, false
talking in tongues, and noisy exercises have
been considered gifts which God has placed
in the Church. Some have been deceived
here. The fruits of all this have not been
good ... (Maranatha, 154).
28.
29. Mark 16:15-18
15 And He said to them, “Go into all
the world and preach the gospel
to every creature.” 16 “He
who believes and is baptized will
be saved; but he who does not believe will
be condemned. 17 “And these signs will
follow those who believe: In My name they
will cast out demons; they will speak with
new tongues;” 18 “they will take up
serpents; and if they drink anything
deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they
will lay hands on the sick, and they will
recover.”

33. Psalm 33:9
“For he spoke and it was done;
He commanded, and it stood
fast.”
34. Search the literature, as I have, and you will find no
documented cures by healers of gallstone, heart
disease, cancer or any other serious organic
disease. Certainly, you’ll find patients temporarily
relieved of their upset stomachs, their chest pains,
their breathing problems; and you will find healers,
and believers, who will interpret this interruption of
symptoms as evidence that the disease is cured.
But when you track the patient down and find out
what happened later, you always find the “cure” to
have been purely symptomatic and transient. The
underlying disease remains. (W. A.. Nolan, Healing:
A Doctor in Search of a Miracle [New York: Random
House, 1974], 259)
35. Wonderful scenes, with
which Satan will be closely
connected, will soon take
place. God’s Word declares
that Satan will work miracles.
He will make people sick, and
then will suddenly remove from them
his satanic power. They will then be
regarded as healed. These works of
apparent healing will bring Seventh-day
Adventists to the test. (2SM 53,
1904)
36. Pastor Kabi reported how his church members in the
Nyala province had just settled into groups for their
Sabbath School discussion, when they noticed a group
of nine men approaching the Church. They were
dragging a boy in chains. “Our church elder, Albino
Garang, approached the boy’s father who told him that
his only son, 25-year old Santino, had been chained in
prison for the last six months and was uncontrollable.
All attempts to seek treatment for the boy had been
unsuccessful. They had sought the help from doctors,
magicians and witches, but all in vain. Santino’s father
said, ‘I have heard that you Adventists believe only in
God. That is why I have organized this group to assist
me in dragging him here for prayers so that he may be
relieved from this possession.’”
37. Pastor Kabi requested the entire church to fast and
pray for Santino. “We ordered the spirit to come out
of Santino in the Name of Jesus. We prayed
throughout the night. Finally the following day, on
Sunday, at 9.00 am, Santino was at peace and the
demon was gone.”
The church members gave him food to eat and
water to drink. After eating they asked him if he
recognized his father and the delegation which
accompanied him. He could remember and recalled
their names one by one. Because of this miraculous
healing Santino and his best friend Joseph Ngor,
and some neighbors, joined the Seventh-day
Adventist Church by baptism on March 6, 2006.
40. J. P. Jackson said
in one message that
God blew up the
space shuttle
Challenger to teach
America a lesson,
given that there was
a teacher on board.
41. Bob Jones
predicted that
1000 religious
leaders would
be killed by
God in 1990.
44. Wayne Grudem
“...prophecy today is merely
human words reporting what God
has brought to mind, while the
prophecies that were written
down in the Old Testament were
men speaking God’s words to
report what God had brought to
mind.” (G. S. Greig and K. N. Springer,
eds., The Kingdom and the Power
[Ventura, CA: Regal Books, 1993], 79)
45. While we were travelling the Lord
told me He was going to reveal my
prophetic calling publicly. At the
Toronto meeting the Lord fulfilled
His word to me about a public
disclosure of the prophetic gift he
had given me. It happened in this
way. After Dr. R. T. Kendall’s
powerful sermon, Dr. Paul Cain
stepped to the platform and began
to speak words of public prophecy.
Dr. Cain is a vindicated prophet of
long standing, deeply respected by
millions in the Body of Christ.

46. Ella and I were seated near the back
of the auditorium in a crowd of 2,500
people. Neither of us had registered
in the conference, and Dr. Cain did
not know us. Before that large
audience, Dr. Cain called for me to
stand, recounted our background in
Arizona, told me my age when I was
first anointed by the Holy Spirit
(prior to my fiery baptism in the
Spirit), and named Ella. He stated,
“Let nothing discourage you or deter
you because this is true prophetic
gifting that is upon you. You will be
known as a prophet of the Lord.”
( Eoin Giller, E-mail 14.4.98)

47. As the two men washed each other’s feet,
the Spirit of the Lord fell on me in the gallery
up in the back of the church. He told me,
“This is a wedding, not a foot-washing.
Every wedding is made by a third party. You are the third
party. As I took Pastor Sheets to England, so I have
brought you to America to help make this marriage.
Since early this century, the adversary has focused on
keeping the Spirit and the Truth separate. These days
are over. I am putting the Spirit and the Truth together in
My Church. The Evangelicals with the Gospel are to join
with the Charismatics in the Spirit. I seek worshippers
who will worship Me in Spirit and in truth. Go down and
announce this marriage to this church, this city and this
nation.” (E-mail 14.4.98)
48. ...as I walked off the platform, the
Lord said, “Get out of the church.” I
walked straight out of the building
into the night. While I was alone
outside, the Lord spent forty minutes giving
me specific details about the role He wants the
SEVENTH-DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH and its
leadership to play in the forthcoming marriage.
That’s when I said to Him, “Lord it ain’t [sic]
going to work. They’ll never do it, they’re too
proud.” Then He said sharply, “You mind your
business, and I’ll mind mine! Do what I tell
you.” In His mercy, the Lord has shown me
what will happen if the church leaders fail Him
in this momentous hour. The marriage will
take place. (E-mail 14.4.98)
49.
50. “I will pour out my spirit on all people ...”
(Acts 2:17).
51. “Beloved, do not
believe every
spirit, but test
the spirits,
whether they are
of God because
many false
prophets have
gone out into
the world.” (1
John 4:1)
52. “Beware of
false prophets
who come to
you in sheep’s
clothing, but
inwardly they
are ravenous
wolves. You
will know them
by their fruits.”
(Matt. 7:15, 16)
53. “Not everyone who says to me ‘Lord, Lord’
shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who
does the will of my father in heaven. Many
will say to me in that day, “Lord, Lord have we
not prophesied in your name, cast out
demons in your name and done many
wonders in your name?” And then I will
declare to them, ‘I never knew you. Depart
from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’”
(Matt. 7:21-23)
54. “For false Christs and false prophets will arise and
show great signs and wonders to deceive, if
possible, even the elect.” (Matt 24:24)
55. Ellen White:
The man who makes
the working of
miracles the test of
his faith will find
that Satan can,
through a species of
deceptions, perform
wonders that will
appear to be
genuine miracles.
(Maranatha, 156)
56. “When the leading
churches of the United
States, uniting upon such
points of doctrine as are
held by them in common,
shall influence the state to
enforce their decrees and to
sustain their institutions,
then Protestant America
will have formed an image
to the Roman hierarchy.”
(Great Controversy, 445).
57. When Protestantism shall
stretch her hand across the gulf
to grasp the hand of the Roman
power, when she shall reach over
the abyss to clasp hands with
spiritualism, when under the influence of
this threefold union, our country shall
repudiate every principle of its
Constitution as a Protestant and
republican government, and shall make
provision for the propagation of papal
falsehoods and delusions, then we may
know that the time has come for the
marvellous working of Satan and that the
end is near: (5T, 451).
58. “When the leading churches
of the United States, uniting
upon such points of doctrine
as are held by them in
common, shall influence the
state to enforce their
decrees and to sustain their
institutions, then Protestant
America will have formed an
image to the Roman
hierarchy.” (Great Controversy,
445).
