Market for Menstrual Hygiene Products in IndiaDona Ghosh
The market often has potentials to expand its periphery in the confined areas that remained untapped due to lack of awareness. Menustration Health is one such phenomenon that often struggles against social stereotypes. As a result, only a few females in our society have the privilege of dignified menstruation health.
Menstruation hygiene management is not only crucial for sound reproductive health but also equips the females to enjoy their lives to a greater extent. However, the menstruation hygiene related products in the market are either too high-priced (beyond the affordable range of poor), or the quality of products are often sacrificed if provided at a low price. Moreover, women are sometimes unaware of the available product in the market.
The menstruation hygiene product has immense potential in the Indian market mainly because of its demographic characteristics and growth in female employment. Considering the importance of the emerging market situation, the slides discuss the market potential, challenges, and possible business model for menstruation hygiene products in India.

Despite investments in infrastructure, only 1% was invested in school infrastructure and 85% in sports facilities, leaving schools without adequate water, sanitation, or privacy. As a result, 90% of girls in rural areas and 75% in urban areas miss school 2-3 days per month due to menstruation. Schools lack education on menstruation and stigma remains. Macedonia does not meet the criteria for safe and private MHM facilities in schools. Action is needed to address these issues through education, facilities, and equitable access to menstrual products.

The Global Widows Report demonstrates that disadvantage in widowhood is not limited to one culture, society or region. Majority of the widows globally, live in extreme poverty and are often ostracized by the society. They have to struggle for gender equity on one hand and for their rights as a widow on the other.
Women in Bulambuli face similar problems as men in the society tend to control them through use of violence. The area also has significantly higher rates of polygamy and promiscuity which further enhances cases of high GBV. Owing to the high incidence of GBV in the area, there is a need to develop a program to help women get rid of such problems and are made aware of their rights and are empowered.
The proposed project seeks to usher 100 vulnerable women (widows and victims of all forms of GBV) from extreme poverty through entrepreneurship development in Bulambuli district, Uganda. The project will be implemented during a period of 12 months.

Overall life span (LS) was 1671.7±1721.6 days and cumulative 5YS reached 62.4%, 10 years – 50.4%, 20 years – 44.6%. 94 LCP lived more than 5 years without cancer (LS=2958.6±1723.6 days), 22 – more than 10 years (LS=5571±1841.8 days). 67 LCP died because of LC (LS=471.9±344 days). AT significantly improved 5YS (68% vs. 53.7%) (P=0.028 by log-rank test). Cox modeling displayed that 5YS of LCP significantly depended on: N0-N12, T3-4, blood cell circuit, cell ratio factors (ratio between cancer cells-CC and blood cells subpopulations), LC cell dynamics, recalcification time, heparin tolerance, prothrombin index, protein, AT, procedure type (P=0.000-0.031). Neural networks, genetic algorithm selection and bootstrap simulation revealed relationships between 5YS and N0-12 (rank=1), thrombocytes/CC (rank=2), segmented neutrophils/CC (3), eosinophils/CC (4), erythrocytes/CC (5), healthy cells/CC (6), lymphocytes/CC (7), stick neutrophils/CC (8), leucocytes/CC (9), monocytes/CC (10). Correct prediction of 5YS was 100% by neural networks computing (error=0.000; area under ROC curve=1.0).

poor health facilities; the matter is not as properly dealt with

different diseases could be arrested or minimized to a large
extent among them.
