8. Achievements
Women have more opportunities for education and
stronger legal in many countries, they are taking leadership
roles in local communities, and stand at the forefront of the
peace movement.
Perhaps the greatest change will come when women and
men are agree to work together for gender equality.
International women rights agreements-women’s rights are
well-esatblished by international agreements ,notably the
international Convention on eradication of discrimination
against women(CEDAW).
Since 1950-51 the total enrollment at the PRIMARY,UPPER
PRIMARY,SECONDARY and SENIOR SECONDARY stages
increses by 6,14 and 20 times respectively.
The rate of litracy has gone up from 39.29% in 1991 ti 54.16%
in 2011

Swayamsidha launched in March 2001 and the Swa-
shakti project known as rural Women,s development
and empowerment project launched on october 1998.
The UN Secretary-General's High-Level Panel on Global
Sustainability released its report “Resilient People,

in Addis Ababa. The 22-member panel established by UN
Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in 2010 brought renowned
