Introduction
•Survivor care when one has been through breast cancer
treatment is getting complicated with time. This is as it aims to
have control over the long term implications of cancer and its
diagnosis as well as psychosocial desires.
•Considering survivorship care is at times back offered by
surgeons and other oncologists in Australia. The practitioners are
better placed to handle these matters.
•A number of advances have been put in place so as to handle
the treatment of breast cancer, though from the study, a lot still
needs to be done. This is since a complete care plan is not
offered to the survivors. A survivor care plan is applied is a
system that is improved and well coordinated method to survivor
care. There is also distress screening method. There is also the
distress screening that aims to offer advice on how to manage
life after treatment.

• The emotional aspect of life and psychological changes are

survivors. They however may undergo psychological and

shows elements of complexities.
• Most of the breast cancer survivors undergo distress which is
not looked into, more so as the patients transformation from
active to survivorship form of treatment form of care and at
200%.
• Survivors are more prone to undergoing psychological issues.
Advice about psychological care is offered to half the people.
They are however not offered advice on changing to
survivorship. The social and emotional screening looks to
allocate support on how to adjust to survivorship. This is
offered by health professionals.

Implication
• In addition to noting the recurrence of breast cancer, the
support plan has shown ability to managing issues in a large
number of Australians. This has been noted in the high
numbers of survivors who are getting trough their diseases
effectively. The practitioners are better placed to handle
matters related to them.
• Concerns are however shown on the sustainability of
professional based support care due to the high numbers and
difficulty associated with them. According Australian
oncologists these support care plans have to be simple and
affordable (Eva & Earle, 2010).
• The Australian breast cancer survivor support is a great
chance for them to get involved in a program beneficial to
them. They will be of help to other people who are
experiencing the same in time to come. This support group
cannot be of success without the help of other organizations
and the government. This effort will go a long way to go on
and recruit breast cancer patients (Jacobs 2009). They are
hence bound to have a chance to assist researchers to
acquire a great understanding of the implication of breast
cancer. This will eventually affect the advancement of
inventive methods to elevate the cancer experience for a
number of Australians.

• A survivorship care plan is a model that is modeled to involve
