3. Summary
• With energy price increasing and an increased interest in sustainability, a
market for high efficiency, environmentally friendly lighting has been
created. SS lighting will manufacture LED bulbs and LED tubes, which
consumes less power and provides a high efficiency. After changing the
technology, SS lighting will change its technology more efficiently. SS
lighting will make fixing support for tubes, LED tubes with length of 4 feet,
and consumes 36W and 40W, with the length of 2 feet, consumes 18W and
20W, respectively to slim and fat models, and 7.5W, 13W, 17W and 30W LED
bulbs. SS lighting will sale its product 5% on less than its competitors’ prices
and provide one year more warranty than its competitors.
4. Strategy
• Today in Pakistan, there is an issue of energy crises. People need lighting
appliances which consumes less and provide more efficiency. SS Lighting
will make LED lighting (bulb and tubes) which consumes less power than
old technology appliances. SS Lighting will attract the people by providing
high quality and long-life LED bulb and tubes with 5% less than to its
competitor prices. SS Lighting will make strong bond with distributor who
will distribute our LED bulb and tubes to shops as well as to people of
village and cities directly. Our sale officers initially will arrange seminars in
different industries and local area to enhance our product demands.
5. Market
• Our primary target market will be local industry and home. Today, a huge
number of people use LED appliances. Today, market value of LED bulb and
tubes is 200M dollar in Pakistan. Approximately after one year, we will
begin selling our LED lighting appliances to retail industries in other
geographic such as Middle East, Iran and Afghanistan. After 1.5 year, we
will go directly into other markets like commercial developers, airport
lighting installation and office buildings of different countries.
6. Management and Personals
• The management of SS lighting will consist of one project manager whose
experiences will be ten years related to lighting industry. One design
engineer and two electronics engineers whose experiences will be related to
lighting. We will also hire some coordinators and sales team for our factory
and advertisement. All team members will be initially on contract basis
because initial year will be the riskiest year. So, we will see the situations of
market and skills of our team, then we will decide to permanent the
members of our team.
7. Operation
• SS lighting products will consist of two parts that will need to be
manufactured. LED lighting appliance (tubes & bulbs) Fixture support for
LED tubes A factory will be installed with the help of chines Professionals
for manufacturing of LED bulbs and tubes locally. The lighting materials
will be outsourced directly from China. We will purchase fixing support for
LED tubes directly from another manufacturing company like MEP
solutions.
9. Understanding the Consumer
• We have plans to sell our LED bulbs and tubes a little bit below the average
prices of similar products to gain entrance and acceptability from the
available market. We have adopted a strategy of low prices below
competitors. Consumers are very price sensitive as they can easily purchase
inexpensive products. As the product gains customer loyalty within one to
two years, higher pricing strategies can be pursued.
10. Sale and Marketing Forecast
• We hired experts who have a good understanding of the business to help us
develop marketing strategies that will help us achieve our business goal of
winning a larger percentage of the available market through Pakistan.
11. Sale Strategy
• Our bulbs are of excellent quality and less consuming energy. Our
distributors will always attract customer cum sales and that will translate
to increase in revenue generation for the business. We are well positioned to
take on the available market in Pakistan. We will meet our set target of
generating enough profits from our first six months of operation and grow
the business. We will sell our products less than five percentage of other
companies' product to attract the consumers.
12. LED Industry Overview
• The LED lamp market is projected to grow by more than twelve-fold over the
next decade, from $2 billion in the beginning of 2014 to $25 billion in 2016.
LEDs use only about 10 percent of the energy an incandescent lamp
requires. The LED lighting industry can achieve a CAGR(Compound Annual
Growth Rate) of 13% through 2022. The expected industry market size could
reach $54.28 billion.
13. Mission Statement
• Our mission is to campaign for a clean environment by promoting the use of
energy efficient LED bulb in all areas of use. SS lighting appliance will
consume far less electricity than incandescent bulbs.
