1. Abstract:
The proposed project is based on the concept of Industrial automation. In this project, we are
going to develop a project basically dependent on DTMF, Microcontroller & relay etc. The
system allows complete security and is based on microcontroller. The design objective of this
project is to make a DTMF based remote monitoring system which can be used to acquire
different parameters of any process or machine and send the data obtained to a distant
logging system running on a PC so that the data can be represented in a user friendly manner.
Here microcontroller is the heart of this project, Firstly the power supply of 5v DC is very
essential for this set up, this power supply trigger the microcontroller 8051, then 8051 is
directly connected with LCD & device control, LCD gives the info regarding devices that can
be operated by microcontroller 8051 & device control here acting as a switch with the help of
relays. DTMF encoder sends the information inthe form of frequency from the 3G hand
set,Then DTMF decoder decode the information in the form of frequency and this
information fed to microcontroller pins. Finally microcontroller performs the relative
operations.
Now days, marketing demands are increasing continuously. If you can’t satisfy demand then
you will knock out of the race. There is no time limit for work. So in modern industry, it
needs to give alignment without going on field. Consider one case, that you are field
engineer, company will start at 9 o’clock. But you have to turn on boiler at 7 o’clock to start
working at 9 o’clock. In this case you have to go at 7 o’clock but by using this project you
can start boiler by just giving command from your mobile. Boiler is just example you can
turn on or turn off any controlling device.

For giving command, you have to just call on the mobile on set which you have set on field.
This mobile is on auto answering mode. Thiswillreceive your call. Then particular key is
assigned to every controlling action. E.g. – key 1- turn on motor, key 2- turn off motor. Key
3- turn on machine etc. Such that bygiving commands from mobile you can control industrial
work. It is advantages for all type of industrial work.
