This thesis explores the transformation of the vacated (2023) IKEA store in Kållered, Sweden, into a "Reuse Hub" addressing various user types. The project aims to create a model for circular and sustainable economic practices that promote resource efficiency, waste reduction, and a shift in societal overconsumption patterns.
Reuse, though crucial in the circular economy, is one of the least studied areas. Most materials with reuse potential, especially in the construction sector, are recycled (downcycled), causing a greater loss of resources and energy. My project addresses barriers to reuse, such as difficult access to materials, storage, and logistics issues.
Aims:
• Enhancing Access to Reclaimed Materials: Creating a hub for reclaimed construction materials for both institutional and individual needs.
• Promoting Circular Economy: Showcasing the potential and variety of reusable materials and how they can drive a circular economy.

BUILDING INSPECTION AND STRATEGIC SPACE PLANNING
Site inspection to measure and understand the efficiency of a building in terms of Column positioning,Well defined shafts, Shape of the building, Power sanction, location of lifts, location of entrance etc.
Builder's Area Verification with the help of existing drawings and through Onsite verification Identification of floor plan efficiency by creating initial Test Fit
Optimize space efficiency through design and Test Fits
Coordinate with the Management for approval of designs in terms of space planning and costing.
Provide the final Go to Market Test Fit and provide ample design details and workspace information to the sales and Marketing team.
Work closely with the Design team and the management to work out multiple Test fit Options.
Work exclusively on the Raceway designs and get the same reviewed and approved by Management.

ASSISTANT MANAGER WORKSPACE PLANNING,

QUANTITY SURVEYING
To prepare list of items to be estimated, accordingly work out quantification of each of them.
To prepare a detailed BOQ for understanding of Budget for all the Interior Projects across buildings.
Ensure timely and accurate Estimation.
Preparation of detail & abstract estimation for each client as per standards
Optimize and understand the specification of each interior materials for project execution.
PROJECT / DELIVERY TEAM & CRM LIASONING
Creating robust end-to-end processes for managing projects in collaboration with the project management team.
Co-ordinating and working closely with the project / CRM / sales team to execute the design close to Perfection.
Follow-up with respective delivery groups to track the progress of client mandates.
Providing necessary intervention with clients to clear initial roadblocks for fulfillment.
Frequent site visits with the Designer in-charge for the execution of the design
Addressing all concerns / queries that delivery team has about the design.
CLIENT MANAGEMENT
Make visits to Client offices and sites in order to freeze the layouts and Designs within the stipulated time.
Explain and educate the client regarding the design challenges and practicality of the executions wherever necessary .
Provide on time responses to client queries / requests through the CRM.
Work closely with clients/client representatives to determine space and logistical requirements, deliverables, and dead lines.
Communicate and coordinate with management to alter and finalize the design based on client requirements.
