The intern completed various objectives over the summer, including processing network request projects, assisting managers, and visiting Verizon facilities. Some specific tasks included installing a fusion kit, observing construction work, and witnessing a generator test. The intern also received network requests, created project definitions and scopes of work, put projects out to bid, and requested funding approval. Courses covered project management, communication skills, and leadership. The intern enjoyed overseeing entire projects, interacting with team members, and site visits. Areas for improvement included updating Verizon systems and providing more efficient training.
