North West Street Sidewalk Improvements project was substantially completed on February 10, 2021. The project consisted of the construction of new concrete sidewalk, curb and gutter, curb ramps and reconstruction of driveways along the north side of North West Street between Great Falls Street and Brilyn Place. As part of this project, the North West Street - Great Falls Street intersection was reconstructed, and the traffic signal was replaced. The construction also included drainage improvements, installation of decorative streetlights, watermain relocation and betterments, paving, pavement marking and signage. The North West St. Sidewalk project is located in both Fairfax County and the City of Falls Church. The City and the County have agreed to bid and construct the project jointly with the City reimbursing the County for the City’s share of construction and administration costs.

Description:
