thing. It always begins with a capital letter.
Eg: Tajmahal is a wonderful place.
7. COMMON NOUN
It is the name in common to every person,
place or things (of the same kind)
Eg:A city is always crowded.
8. COLLECTIVE NOUN
It is the name of a group of persons, place
or things that are taken together and
spoken as whole.
Eg: The French army defeated the British
9. ABSTRACT NOUN
It is usually the name of a quality
(Adjectives), state (common nouns), or
action (verbs)
Eg: The man argued for his innocence.
10. CONCRETE NOUN
It is the name of a matter or substance that
is non abstract.
Eg: These carriages are made of plastic
11. COUNTABLE NOUN
• It is the name of things which we can
count.
• Eg: Five seats are alloted for them.
12. UNCOUNTABLE NOUN
• It is the name of things which cannot be
count and usually measured in mass or
quantity.
• Eg: Rice is the major food of Kerala.
