There will be a “book check out” sheet that students who take books must fill out. As the librarian, you will need to check this sheet and make sure students aren’t keeping books for longer than two weeks. You will need to check the “returned books” basket daily and replace any books that have been turned in. Lastly, if a book is majorly damaged, you will need to let Ms. Rose know so she can either fix it, leave it, or toss the book.
The person who takes this job must be very kind and caring. You will be responsible for helping students that have been absent by keeping track of the work they missed and you will write them a one paragraph note about what we did at the end of each day. When a new student comes to our class, you will be responsible for sitting with them in class and at lunch, spending recess with them, and helping them find friends. This is a very important job!
You will be responsible for changing our bulletin boards and calendar. You will put up the “Outstanding Work” papers and taking down old ones. You will be responsible for changing the borders around the bulletin boards (usually we do this with the seasons). You will be able to decide what kind of bulletin boards you would like to do with help from Ms. Rose. You may research these ideas during job time. If you are a creative person who likes to draw or color, this job would be good for you!
If you are interested in this job, you will need to show Ms. Rose what you know how to do on a computer. You may have to spend 10 minutes during some recesses so Ms. Rose can show you what she wants you to help other friends in the class with. In the computer lab, you will walk around and help other students for the first few minutes and make sure others know what to do.
The classroom cleaners are very important people! You will be in charge of keeping our classroom clean which will help keep everyone happy. Your jobs will include; dusting, wiping down windows, picking up the floors, wiping down desks, replacing kleenex, and much more. This job should only take the two workers five minutes a day.
This worker must be able to keep a secret! You and Ms. Rose will be in charge of watching the secret student and you cannot let the secret student know they are the secret student! Your job is also important because you will be in charge of keeping the back of the line close (there will be students who try to trail behind the rest of us, you have to kindly tell them to keep moving).

This job is very important and makes everyone happy. This job is also pretty simple as long as you remember to do it! All you have to do is hold open doors for the class to walk through. We walk through doors to go to one computer lab, recess, lunch, and on field trips. That doesn’t seem too hard, does it?
This job is incredibly important and the workers that choose this job must be organized. All three folder managers will have eight students whose folders they manage. You will have an attendance sheet for these students and you will pull any homework out that has been returned. You will put an “x” by this students name meaning they’ve turned in their work. Luckily, we won’t have homework very often but you still need to be a hard worker!
This worker simply checks the clothes pins on the Question of the Day every morning. Those that haven’t moved their clothes pin are absent, you will mark these names on an attendance sheet and give the sheet to Ms. Rose so she can input these names into the computer after morning music.
This person makes sure that all chairs are stacked at the end of the day. Sometimes other students will leave early from school and this worker stacks their chairs for them.
Each of the eight bankers will have about four students that they are in charge of. They keep track of these four students’ bank accounts, pay them each day, and deduct what they spend at the end of the week in the store. Bankers have a very important job and they must have very good attendance.
These workers have to be very flexible and able to learn a bunch of jobs quickly. They must also be responsible to make sure the jobs are getting done when students are absent.
These workers check the supplies in the stores on Monday, let Ms. Rose know what is needed, and check out students on Friday and collect their fuzzies.
