1. Structure and Narrative
Annabelle
The horror movie trailer of annabelle start's off with a extreme long-shot of the house.
We then see the wife terrified waking up the husband and telling him she heard a
scream,the husband goes to check what's happened and as he runs out the neighbours
house we hear a bang/thud which changes the mood of the scene completely because it
gets the audience all jumpy. We then see a priest which is important in
demonic/possession horror movies because it the good fighting evil. Once we see the
doll the music changes that is the interuption, we then have a load of scenes played in a
short time and the music speeds up to fit in with the fast paced clips.
Sinister
The trailer start's off with a extreme long-shot of a house. We see the house and hear
the news talk about a murder which indicates at the house then we see 9 months later
and the house and we see the family moving in. We see the family having eating dinner
together happy, we also see the dad putting the daughter to sleep. We then have a
disturbance when he finds a box in the attic the music changes and he looks worried.
We have a lot of fast paced scenes played which makes it more intense because we see
a lot of scary and bad things and then we hear a loud scream which makes the audience
jump. We see a police man which is important because it means he is scared and went
to get help because its a serious matter.
The Woman In Black
The woman in black trailer start's of with a long shot of a room, we then see a doll and
two toy monkey's, its all quite then all of a sudden one of the monkey's moves and plays
a a intrusment then the music played on the instruments fastens and we hear more
music sounds. Then we hear a small girl's voice saying a poem, on the poem she talks
about someone being there and a curse upon the town, When the main character walks
in the house described as the worst the music speeds up and stops, we then see a cros
and we straight away think of the devil/ demon possession. The interuption in the movie
is when the character walks in the house, the music changes to make it more creepy so
