The storyboards describe four scenes from the film Frame. The first scene establishes a symbolic trait of the main character through close-up shots without dialogue, using only music that ends in silence. The second scene includes diegetic sounds and changing lighting for an important symbolic shot. The third scene transitions to the next scene with a bird's-eye view shot similar to one from The Shining, ending with a slow dissolve. The fourth scene shows a montaged argument between the protagonist and his wife using dialogue and blank screens between clips to emphasize the drama.

2. The storyboard for the first scene
in Frame establishes a symbolic
trait in the character.
This scene has a strong focus on
close-up shots in order to
establish the character’s clean-cut
image.
Each shot will be edited with cuts.
There is no dialogue in this scene.
Music will play throughout and it
will end in silence before cutting to
the next scene.

3. The part of this scene will be used
to display the title seen and an
important symbolic shot in the
film.
The diegetic sound will be present
throughout the shot – running
water, the stirring of hot drinks etc.
However, there will be no dialogue.
It is important to note that the
lighting will change once the
character hits the first light switch.

4. The third part of this scene is the
transition into the following scene.
The birds-eye view of the blueprint
will be shot similarly to Stanley
Kubrick’s iconic maze shot in The
Shining.
A slow dissolve will be used on the
final shot of the scene.

5. This scene will show an argument
between the protagonist and his
wife.
The montage sequence of the
argument will be edited into
separate clips and divided by
blank screens.
There will be dialogue in this scene
but there will be no sound during
the montage sequence in order to
emphasize the drama.
