The story is about a horseman who was told by the emperor that he could have ownership of all the land he could cover on his horse. He rode continuously for a long time, pushing himself and his horse to exhaustion, covering a large area of land. When he was dying of exhaustion, he realized he only needed a small plot of land to be buried in, and questioned why he had pushed himself so hard. Similarly in life, people push themselves hard every day to make money, gain power and recognition, neglecting their health, family and hobbies. One day they will look back and realize they didn't need as much as they thought, but cannot turn back time. The lesson is that life is about
This presentation was used to explain the importance of Values in Life to the students of professional programme, belonging to the Aurora Group of Institutions, in Hyderabad.
Simplify your life to find peace and serenity. Live simply without distraction and you will feel calm. With kindness towards yourself and others, you can reduce stress and enjoy life.
The document discusses various perspectives on the concept of love. It defines love as an action rather than a feeling, involving commitment, attention, and risk. Love is choosing to nurture another person's growth through both good and bad times. True love is demonstrated through caring actions over time rather than fleeting feelings alone.

The story is about a horseman who rode as far as possible to claim land for the emperor. He pushed himself so hard that he became exhausted and near death. He realized he only needed a small plot of land to bury himself. Similarly, in life we work very hard for money and power but neglect family and health. We should find a better balance between work and leisure to enjoy life more.

The story is about a man who was encouraged to ride his horse and cover as much land area as possible for reward. He rode continuously without stopping to rest or eat, pushing himself and his horse to exhaustion. When he had covered a large area, both he and his horse were dying. He realized then that he only needed a small area of land, and had risked his life unnecessarily to cover more land than was needed. The document suggests that in life, people similarly push themselves hard every day to make more money, gain power and recognition, neglecting time with family and hobbies. However, one day they will realize they did not truly need so much, and cannot turn back time for what was missed.
Ode to My Life Journey -- written in 1999Thomas Saw

Ode to My Life Journey was written long long time ago in late 1999 as my 2000 New Year message to myself .
It expressed my philosophical outlooks feeling toward Life
This document contains a community newspaper with the following summaries:
1. It lists upcoming events for the CMR organization in Volksrust including pancake sales, health talks, family days, and fundraising activities from March to December.
2. It advertises services for repairs from Piet Botha and motivational speaking services from Mr. John Oscar Kubeka.
3. The main article discusses the concept of heaven, arguing that we are already in heaven if we focus on appreciation, awe and gratitude for our lives and experiences rather than seeing heaven as a place we go after death. It encourages having a positive mindset and finding meaning in all experiences.
The document provides advice and quotes on achieving real success and living purposefully. It emphasizes creating extraordinary value for others, making choices that determine the quality of one's life, and cultivating great self-worth over chasing wealth. It also stresses finding one's purpose and letting life lead you to your destiny. Overall, the document encourages living with integrity, discipline, and leadership through challenging times.
The document introduces the THANKs principles program to help people overcome obstacles and achieve their goals and dreams. It describes each letter in THANKs which stands for Trustworthiness, Honesty, Authenticity, Neutrality, Kindness, and Surrender. Adopting these principles can help manage thoughts, build character, and guide individuals to unprecedented success. Living by THANKs helps people rediscover their sense of possibility and experience their true power and gifts.
This document outlines an agenda for a youth meeting that includes icebreakers, songs, discussions, and games aimed at building self-esteem. The agenda includes: an icebreaker story about an eagle, slides, a discussion on self-esteem, an evaluation worksheet, action songs, a value game, recapping and a motivational talk, paper games, and closing with another action song. The document provides details on the activities, discussions, and a theoretical input on self-esteem.
The poem discusses the purpose and meaning of life. It argues that life is real and not empty like a dream. People should act in the present and not dwell on the past or future. The purpose of life is self-improvement and action, not just experiencing joy or sorrow. People should follow the example of great men and make their own mark instead of passively following others. The overall message is to face life's challenges bravely and continue striving to better oneself.
The document tells a story about a man who helps a butterfly emerge from its cocoon by cutting it open with scissors. However, the butterfly's body is tiny and shrivelled, and its wings do not expand properly, so it is unable to fly. The struggle to emerge from the cocoon on its own would have forced fluid into the butterfly's wings, making them strong enough for flight. The document also says that struggles in life make us stronger, and that God gives us difficulties and problems so that we may grow in strength, wisdom, and courage.
The document contains thoughts on various topics from different sources:
1. It discusses Liebherr's philosophy of driving meaningful change that improves people's lives through passion and innovation.
2. It emphasizes the importance of water conservation given local sources in India are overexploited.
3. It stresses the need for self-awareness and emotional control in leaders, as well as their ability to accept feedback flexibly.
The document contains 4 short motivational stories about peace of mind, a butterfly struggling in its cocoon, a clever dog, and a lesson about appreciating what you have. After each story is a reflection section and space for a journal entry. The purpose of the document is to empower the reader through stories and self-reflection exercises.
- The document discusses getting ready for spring by tuning up the mind and body, which are the two most important tools for racewalking and life. It encourages reflecting on the current condition of one's mind and body after winter and making plans to activate the mind and shake off any lethargy in preparation for spring.
The document outlines 10 principles for a happy life according to an executive coach and inspirational speaker. The principles are: 1) gratitude for being alive each day, 2) continuous self-improvement, 3) living a purposeful life that makes the world better, 4) understanding one's integrity and roles, 5) setting SMART goals, 6) being content with what you have, 7) learning from suffering and adversity, 8) respecting oneself, 9) maintaining a sense of humor, and 10) showing compassion to oneself and others. Following these principles can help people unleash their potential and live extraordinarily happy lives.
The document outlines the stages of personal growth in "The Great Game of Life":
1) Innocence describes being born with unlimited potential but lacking life experiences and subject to negative conditioning.
2) Self-conditioning discusses how people unconsciously condition themselves to cultural beliefs that later interfere with potential.
3) The Awakening stage sees people motivated to change due to crisis, evolution, or creative anticipation of possibilities.
4) Self-fulfillment is reached by reducing interference through awareness, thought changes, and reclaiming one's true potential to freely access it.
The document summarizes the formation of a club called SeCiClub-JVT for senior citizens aged 70 and above living in the JVT housing society in Delhi. It discusses the first meeting held on October 2nd, 2014 where over 130 senior citizens gathered by the swimming pool. The club aims to provide fellowship for senior citizens and allow them to meet regularly to share their feelings and views. It also honors 3 senior citizens from the housing society who recently passed away. The club founder Prakash Bajpai addressed the gathering on Gandhi Jayanti and emphasized the importance of the junior generation caring for senior citizens.

2. A long time ago, there was an Emperor who told his horseman that if he could ride on his horse and cover as much land area as he liked, then the Emperor would give him the area of land he had covered.
3. Sure enough, the horseman quickly jumped onto his horse and rode as fast as possible to cover as much land area as he could. He kept on riding and riding, whipping the horse to go as fast as possible.
4. When he was hungry or tired, he did not stop because he wanted to cover as much area as possible. It came to a point when he had covered a substantial area and he and the horse were extremely exhausted .
5. It was not long before the man fell gravely ill. He was dying. Then he asked himself, ย "Why did I push myself so hard to cover so much land area?
6. What is the use of all the land and wealth I have acquired? I only need a very small area to bury myself."
7. The above story is similar with the journey of our Life. We push very hard everyday to make more money, to gain power and recognition.
8. We neglect our health , time with our family and time to appreciate the surrounding beauty and the hobbies we love.
9. One day when we look back, we will realize that we don't really need that much, but then we cannot turn back time for what we have missed.
10. Life is not about making money, acquiring power or recognition . Life is definitely not about work only!
11. Work is only necessary to keep us living, to bring some meaning and joy to others and to enjoy the beauty and pleasures of life.
12. Life is a balance of Work and Play, Family, Personal Development and Reaching Out to others. You have to decide how you want to balance your Life.
13. Define your priorities, realize what you are able to compromise but always let some of your decisions be based on your instincts, insights and wisdom.
14. Happiness is the meaning and the purpose of Life, the whole aim of human existence.
15. So, take it easy, do what the wise would do; appreciate nature. Life is fragile, Life is short. Do not take Life for granted. Live a balanced lifestyle. Enjoy Life positively. Live Life meaningfully.
