● Governments announce to stimulate/ revive economy
● Generally announced to save a country from a financial
crisis (like 2008 recession , economic crisis during
Corona outbreak)
● To boost Consumer spending , as it reduces during
economic uncertainty
● Can be classified as - fiscal and monetary stimulus
