Steven Holl is an American architect born in 1947 who graduated from the University of Washington and studied architecture in Rome. In 1976, he joined the Architectural Association in London and established his own firm, Steven Holl Architects, in New York City. He is known for seamlessly integrating new projects into historic contexts through concept-driven designs that blend space, light, and the unique qualities of each site. Some of his notable works include the Kiasma Museum in Helsinki, the Vanke Center in Shenzhen, and the Cite de l'Ocean et du Surf in Biarritz.
