Steve Jobs was born in 1955 in San Francisco and dropped out of Reed College after one semester. He was later hired at Atari and convinced his friend Steve Wozniak to help him build computers, leading to the founding of Apple in 1976. Some of Apple's major successes included the Apple II, the first computer to use a GUI with the Lisa, and the popular Macintosh. Jobs also helped revolutionize the music industry with the iPod and iTunes store. He was the co-founder and former CEO of Pixar which was acquired by Disney.
