Steve Jobs was born in 1955 and put up for adoption. He studied at Reed College but dropped out. In 1976, Jobs and Steve Wozniak co-founded Apple Computers and released the Apple I and Apple II computers. Apple achieved great success with the 1984 release of the Macintosh, the first computer with a graphical user interface. After being ousted from Apple, Jobs started Next Computer but it failed. Apple struggled without Jobs until 1996 when it acquired Next and Jobs returned as CEO, leading Apple's revival with products like the iPod, iTunes, and iPhone. Jobs passed away in 2011 due to pancreatic cancer.
