But here’s some evidence to back that up
Stephanie commenced work with helloworld Scone in the last week of August, 2013 on a 3 Month
Internship to complete her Bachelor of Business International Tourism Management at Southern Cross
University, which happily subsequently became a permanent position following on from her Internship.
Stephanie has shown wonderful maturity for a 23 year old, which has combined with a passion to learn
and achieve in the world of travel. She had a thirst for knowledge quickly learning Galileo after attending a
three day Smartpoint training, along with conquering Cross Check Travel and the myriad of other on-line
portals. Steph maximised time with the wholesaler reps when they came into office, asking of their time
to teach her their on-line systems. Always keen to improve her destinational knowledge, Stephanie was
quick to accept any educational that became available and within her 21 months at her desk which has
been listed below/and includes travel to Vanuatu, the USA & Canada (on personal travel), New Zealand,
China, California/Palm Springs and Victoria.

Hamper as a feature display in the office and coordinated the overall campaign
 Designs helloworld Scone personalised Gift Vouchers for all occasions
 Assisted in the contribution of designing helloworld Scone Quote Templates, Client Check List and
Booking Forms
 Facebook – Steph has been the main driver of the helloworld Facebook page and has initiated regular
postings as well as drawing up a staff roster for maintenance of Facebook
 Travel Tips – Steph has drawn up a series of Travel Tips to be used as part of our office marketing
 Travel Apps – Steph has designed a Top Travel Apps flyer which goes out in all client documents

WHY I CHOSE A CAREER IN
TRAVEL
As a student, interaction with an Exchange Student Teacher from America inspired Stephanie to develop a
keen interest in travelling and exploring the world.
Steph began to find herself asking incisive and probing questions about places far afield which became a
strong indicator of the future career path she would embark on.
Steph’s favourite mantra which she has chosen to live her life by is ‘Life is either a daring adventure, or
nothing!’ Hence a travel career was the perfect fit.
On leaving school Steph embarked on studying for her Bachelor of Business in International Tourism
Management, which then led to her Internship with helloworld Scone and as they say, the rest is history!

GOING THE EXTRA MILE
Steph is not afraid of hard work, and often stays back after work or will come in on the weekends to ensure
she keeps up to date with her files and to service her client’s needs in a timely manner. Steph will ask all the
critical questions necessary, both of her clients and also of her fellow consultants to come up with the right
answers to complete her quotes and bookings.
Steph has a diarised follow-up system for her quotes and will always walk the hard yards to follow up a
minimum of three times with prospective bookings to try and close the sale.
Steph also uses a spreadsheet to track travel quotes, converted
bookings and forward sales. See below.

 Steph is never hesitant in giving of her time to help her fellow colleagues, further her own education or
simply helping her clients as much as possible.
 Steph willingly assists with the office house keeping, and she is also more than happy to meet with
clients outside of office hours should the need arise.
CONFIDENTIALITY
 Steph is fully aware for the need of office and client confidentiality and understands this is a mandatory
part of our business.
TRANSPARENCY
 Steph’s shows great attention to detail managed through a well organised and very
tidy desk.
 She fully understands the importance of accurate client files with detailed file notes,
and keeps her filing system in a very neat and orderly fashion.
 Stephs never forgets to include all the Travellers Essentials such as travel insurance,
visa information, add-ons such as day tours, Global Country Guides, Multi Cash
Passports, etc.
 She even go as far as arranging bouquets of flowers and boxes of chocolate as a
thankyou for choosing her as their Travel Consultant, along with welcome home
lottery tickets (they might just win and book another holidays with her).

 Steph has placed immense importance on the Hello You training. It has assisted
her in all areas of growth and she utilises these skills on a daily basis.
 Her personal hero in the office is of course Flipman!
 She has an open desire to learn and exceed the high expectations to be
successful.

 She welcomes and seeks out feedback and constructive advice for improvement.
 She has worked hard to overcome her hesitant nature in the client environment.
